Need Info: 2 way radio set-up

hello istoryans kinsa dri naay experience setting up mobile radio communication? need some inputs...were planning to use 2-way RDOs in our business 1 unit for office 2 units for the 2 trucks.

what will be the best option:

1. Base radio for office and 2 portables connected to mobile antenna for the trucks ---( this will be a bit expensive set-up coz base radio is expensive plus other equipments to be used such as antenna, cables, power supply)

2. use all portable RDOs (UHF) but using a repeater ( mo rent lang mi)----- a bit lesser cost ky barato raman mga portables and the cost of renting repeaters is not that high (approx. 1k per month)

3. using all portables (UHF), on simplex freq. no repeaters

ask ko sa reliability sa tulo? scope sa among business ky within metro cebu and neighboring cities raman, do portables on simplex can reach as far as talisay or compostela?

depends on the range/distance between each unit that the radios operate. I'd recommend your option 1 if you plan to have a main control center (your office or home), and a few mobile units. you just need a base radio connected to an antenna attached to a tower and the portables also connected to a mobile antenna (not the rubber duckies). base to base radio transmission can reach far distances depending on antenna and radio set up. but in the case of base and portables, you can be heard by the portable from afar if you use the base radio. however, depending on distance, base radios may or may not receive transmissions from portables due to their limited range.
