aw... cool ra man. no hard feelings. The real issue was already moot and academic. I was not barking at the wrong tree, I never said anything bad nor even compared the services we offered. Anyway, I would like to invite you nalang someday to visit our small Regional Fire Station located at Pahina Central beside Cebu South Bus Terminal. We would really like to hear you speak out to us Mr. Reclamador. I bet you, we will be more than eager to hear you out personally and we would be very glad to share to you the laws under RA9514 and its implementing rules and regulations. Salamat kaau sa inyong mga comments. As I am writing now, my colleagues here are more than happy to meet you all very soon as everyone is very welcome to visit our office.

Instead of waiting for money and support to fall on BFP's laps, why don't you/they take action?
ERUF and Fil-Chi Fire Brigade didn't just wait for the next fire/emergency. Sana proactive...hindi reactive...pag hindi binibigyan.
If you believe the BFP have cleansed their demons of the past, then act rather than waiting for the next fire.

To cut it short...BFP should solve their internal problems first on the quality of transparency and service they provide before blaming other for the nonperformance.

The LGU might look at others that they are MANDATED by law to provide assistance but nevertheless neglected like the Bureau of Fire Protection perhaps? Anyway, the current problem is really simple to solve. Why not organize a local rescue group (they could organize BPATS and traffic enforcers, why not rescue groups?), call it something other than ERUF, have BFP or ERUF personnel train them or better yet, HIRE those qualified ERUF personnel, pass a resolution formally making them employees of the LGU, inform the Dutch about the progress, and receive the damn truck. Oh by the way, Mandaue city despite its large land area and population, compared to cebu city and lapu-lapu, it only has ONE fire station (main central fire station) and ONLY ONE substation (located in basak). Ask your local officials what the hell were they thinking and what are they planning to do about it.
tenchu ... FYI Mandaue has a much smaller land area than Cebu city or Lapu-lapu ... it was Mayor JONAS who put up the Basak Fire Station because of the very reason that we only had only 1 Firestation in all of our City ... there is a need for about 2 more to more or less cover the entire City ...

The reason why COA blocks our City from funding ERUF is because the founder and executive director of ERUF is the elder brother of Mayor JONAS ... so what the Mayor did was to create Barangay disaster brigades trained by ERUF to be force multipliers for emergencies ... ... it would be interesting for you to know that the COA itself advised Mayor JONAS himself how to go around their prohibitions so that ERUF can come home legally to our Mandaue where it was born ...

know your demographics and geography cebu has 700k+ population Mandaue 300K+. Mandaue is definately densely populated but it is not larger than cebu and lapulapu.
