Default Need some sound advice for a new rig

Mangayo ko tabang gamay mga master. Its been 3-4 years since my last major upgrade (came from a Q9400 system). Ga plano ko ug assemble bag.ong rig soon. I've been out of the loop sa mga latest news and tidbits sa unsai mga nindot ug sulit nga PC hardware. Ga basa basa ko ug reviews and news pero overwhelming ra kaau para nako usahay to the point nga mag libog na ko haha..

My budget is somewhere around 40k-45k... wai labot casing, monitor and PSU kay already have that taken care of. Mainly I will use the system for the following purposes:

    - games
    - video editing and transcoding, audio recording to some extent (ga rigor ghapon akong utok aning 3570k vs. 3770k debacle when it comes to media production)
    - storage (HD movies, apps/installers, etc.)
    - HTPC

I would appreciate it if maka hatag sad mo ug advice for both ATX and ITX set ups. Also I'm a slavedriver when I use my PC (multitasking to the max). Whats drawing me towards ITX is the mobility, the ease of bringing my rig anywhere easily. Generally I want a system that performs well today and something I can tweak and OC and do some minor upgrades (hard drive, RAM, SSD, etc) down the road kay I dont upgrade that often (immune nako ug upgradetitis hahahaha).

Eagerly waiting on your inputs. Salamat daan mga master.

since morag tagsa ra ka tig upgrade sa imong setup, then i am suggesting the following setup apil na future-proofing:

    - i7-3820 - tag 12.5k sa TPC
    - X79 mobo - naa tag 11-15k depende na nimo
    - GSkill 4x8gb DDR3-1600 - tag 5k+
    - 120GB SSD
    - ikaw na bahala sa vcard, hehehe...dako pa ka sobra sa imong budget...
    - soundcard kung napa sobra sa budget...

ayaw nalang anang mga SB/Ivy...diretso na LGA2011 platform...

i have here i7-3820 procie w/ batch# 3201B224...kadtong diha pa ang akong X79 Sabertooth it can go 4.7GHz @ stock voltage/on air...naa mga newer batches nag start L...some are getting 5.0GHz on air @ stock voltage...depende gyud sa imong mobo/ram & procie...but if you start upping the voltages then payter gyud kaayo ang i7-3820...

So I've since upgraded back in December and went with an i7 3770K+MSI Z77 MPower+OCZ Vector+8GB Kingston Hyper-X DDR3 setup and I'm very pleased with the results. Karon ako na pud dilemma is which video card to go for. So far galibog pa ko between these two:

    ASUS Matrix Platinum 7970

    OR...

MSI Lightning GTX 680 or Radeon HD 7970

Sure ko most would suggest the Lightning kay mu match cyas akong MPower. On the other hand, we have the ASUS ROG stamp on the Matrix Platinum 7970 nga just by looking at it, pare pareha cya ug feature set sa Lightning nga geared towards overclockers. Just not sure asa aning duha ang mas extensive ug features, kay I will eventually overclock if I feel nga hinay na akong system. So mangayo na sad ko ug tips mga master, kindly share your toots haha

you cant go wrong with those 2 video cards. 7970 slightly better performance, while 680 more efficient with power. if power consumption is not an issue go with 7970.

If GHZ edition ng HD7970 then it shoud be faster than the GTX 680 stock vs stock. If you are planning to overclock, mas dako ug gain in terms of performance ang HD7970.
