The question is, moubos kaha ang krudo ug kuryente? We're a consumer economy, buoyed by billions in yearly remittances. What happens if spending slows down and inflation isn't curbed? What happens to the export market?

I remember more than a decade ago.... Naa koy ex-gf iyang papa chief engr sa barko. Maglagot ko niya everytime lipay kaayo ilang family kay ang peso to dollar nagka weak... or nagka mahal and dollar (50+ pesos at that time)....

Pohon, I might become an OFW. I'm really strong in my decision nga mo pabor ko ug side sa whole Filipinos kaysa sa uban nga ila rang kaugalingon ilang ge tan aw.

Kay, even if moabot ug 35 pesos ang dollar, mas dako pa gehapon sila ug sweldo kaysa sa mga pinoy working locally.

think it's bad that peso is appreciating. a lot of export businesses will suffer. call centers too because they are paid in dollars by overseas employers. i cringe at the day that they will finally fold up and go back to their home country. that would mean more jobless pinoys.

besides there's no effect in peso appreciating. gasoline is still expensive. Nike shoes is still expensive. i think only the importers are enjoying it.
