The church is just trying to stay relevant. They want to be relatable to young people, dili nang ma accuse sila of being archaic and still stuck in the Middle Ages. And what better avenue than to jump on the popular media bandwagon? Personally, I hope they'd endorse The Hunger Games. The love Katniss has for her sister that prompted her to make the ultimate sacrifice, personally, that's much more inspiring to me than the vomit-inducing love/lust Edward and Bella have for each other. *blechhh*

At least the CBCP are attempting to be "progressive" . When the senior citizens in the CBCP are dead and gone , I'm sure the catholic teachings will have a dramatic reform that fits the modern lifestyle .
