Aw, simple ra gihapon ang solution. Ayaw mo pangayo ug funding from the LGU. Adto mo pangayo sa private entities kay ang pag budget baya sa kwarta sa katawhan should be according to the law. Or pwede sad as a citizen and voter, tell your local executives to do their jobs well ug dili mag sige pamulitika.

Since you have mentioned na man jud about calling on the government in times of need, di ba mas maau kaha mangutana ta unsa atong nabuhat para makatabang sa gobyerno? Imposible siguro na imong giingon bay hZZZ oi nga di mo maka tawag sa gobyerno for assistance kung himatyon na mo. Negligence baya na sa mandate sa gobyerno which carries a heavy penalty. The LGU, National Government, and Volunteers should work together. Lingaw bitaw kaau sa una, I remember a certain politician before nga nag ingon himuon niya first responder ang volunteers unya ang taga BFP kay himuon nalang ug tig assist. Gi-tagaan siya ug codal sa RA9514, na supalpal hinuon. Na ulawan intawn si Mr. Politician. Bitaw, their presence (all volunteers) is good and commendable. Basak-Pardo did it, so therefore, possible sad na siguro sa ACERT sa Mandaue.

FYI, wala nangayo ang ERUF ug funding from any government body. Mga politicians ang ni offer na mo hatag. Do more research before you post.

    Do you even know:

Fil-Chi Fire Brigade is being funded by Chong Hua Hospital plus the parking fees they collect in the medarts building goes all to the Fire Brigade? Mga volunteers sa Fire Brigade kay mas dato pa sa majority nato diri sa istorya but they never think twice in risking their lives when they leave their personal lives to save people that they don't even know. You might want to join their trainings and lectures during Sunday dawn/mornings.

As for ERUF, more than 50% of their funding is funded by one generous individual to ensure that ERUF can continue to save more lives every day. That person gives away his hard earned millions and part of his daily life for public health service. Php1.5 M is peanuts compared to the donations given to ERUF yearly from private entities.

These good citizens would never risk their reputations for ill gains.
Clearly some good politicians have seen the benefit and efficiency on these orgs for their community, so why do you need to reinvent the wheel wherein you can help improve it?

It feels great giving your time and risking your own life for others. I was able to do Volunteer work for the Philippine Red Cross back in my college days. My dream was to volunteer for ERUF but that never came to because after college, I had to work right away, help my folks financially and support my younger siblings finish schooling. I had two mentors who were ERUF volunteers and I can say ERUF is one hell of a rescue team. They serve so that others can live.

I have met Firefighters employed by the government. Personally I can see the dedication, heroism and bravery in them it's just that, generally, they lack the hardware to effectively dispose of thier mandate - trucks nga wlay sakto nga maintenance, kulang sa pundo, etc.

I have my hats off to every emergency responder out there, they be volunteers or otherwise.

Well-said, Code Talker... well-said. They may not have the best equipment but they have the best skills to offer. kalimot man gud ang uban nga naay uban tawo took an oath to serve them and spent half of their adult life sa station or detachment so that they could sleep well at night and they do not even receive a little "thank you".
