Default Going Wireless Broadband : Dominion or Meridian Telekoms?

    This is just my opinion:

I've tried both and have subscribed to meridian.

So far ok gyud kaayo and meridian. A+ rating because the 288 kbps speed is consistent.

I've also tried dominion through their free demo with my laptop and my friend's office computer which is within the capitol area and it is not so good. Maputol lang pirmi. I think the dominion system will be more susceptible to problems because the equipment is not standard on the consumer's end (e.g. wifi card, etc). Sorry kaayo dominion but this is based on my experience.

So. . . Meridian for sure.

BTW: meridian: 988 per month, 1 year contract, one month free, 500 installation fee.

This is better suited in Hardware. It ideally belongs in a networking forum ... but that doesn't exist yet ... so moved ...

For dominion, you need a wifi card only to be able to get a connection. On the other hand, although meridian also uses WIFI technology, you dont need a wifi card. Meridian will install a wifi antenna to communicate with their WIFI transmitter placed in Smart Cellsite and then it is connected to your pc through a LAN Card.

So in terms of speed, meridian would be much faster and reliable since they are using a WIFI antenna/receiver but dominion is more versatile since you only need a WIFI card which means you can connect anywhere IF it is a dominion WIFI hot spot. For merdian it is fixed since you need an antenna and their antenna must be on Line of Sight with their WIFI transmitter.

    I hope this helps.
