I would not make a request to switch my modem if the modem you provided works fine but it's f**ked up, I can't browse. Why would you provide such modem? so you guys can gain 750 for every subscriber? My cousin didn't pay anything for changing his prolink to other modem. Why are you guys making it such a big deal when it's your fault to provide a modem which isn't compatible? and besides I am a globe subscriber and will use that modem for globe connection. Don't tell me I am the only one who's having problem with prolink modem cause I know a lot from istorya.net (forums for cebuano) and they never paid anything for changing their modem from prolink.

Dear Mr. Ungab;
Good day.
Please understand that the P 750.00 is a processing fee for requests for change of modem. We have reverted back your original modem which is the Prolink 9200 but have waived the fee as we have understood that your modem was changed temporarily to a ST 511e during repair.
Hence, changing the modem would require a processing fee of P 750.00.
Sincerely yours,

I received a new modem which is PROLINK "all broadband users" are having problem with this modem yet you guys still using it. I admit that you guys have a good connection service but a little problem in modem you guys distributing to broadband users nor have a better technical personnel (the one answering a call from 173).
I called 173, the representative asked me to turn off the modem cause she insist it's a connection issue and needs to be refresh from the server. She even got mad when I tried explaining her that it is a modem issue, hence, the one I am currently using right now is modem/router from PLDT "ZyXEL" and the one I had before "ALCATEL" from Globe never have a problem.
My problem is when downloading files from p2p, I am not able to surf neither I can access to the router interface. How could the representative who answered my call say it was a connection issue? Why not get a better representative cause seriously, the girl who answered my call is not qualified to be in technical member...She is a *****. She got mad after I explained it wasn't a connection issue cause she really thought it was. I called around 8pm, March 19 2007. So, I just hang up the phone than to talk to someone who don't know what she's talking...
I thank you for processing my request to have a new modem but can I get a better modem than this. I was expecting to have the modem siemens speedstream 4200 ( check the specs of the modem here
http://whirlpool.net.au/index.cfm?a=h_view&model_id=278 ). My cousin has it (speedstream 4200) from globe, he had PROLINK too but he also had same problem I had before and now. So, he request to switch PROLINK to other modem. I believe speedstream is cheaper than PROLINK (I guess) so can I have it instead. Please reconsider...

Modem: Speedtouch 511e Home Plus
Reason for requesting a new modem:
It can't port forward a range of port nor it has DMZ settings. I had a prolink modem back then but it broke, the guy who came here to fix the modem told me "I'll give you a temporary modem" which is the one I am currently using right now (speedtouch 511e) and he never came back. Now that I need a modem that has a DMZ features or a modem that can forward a range of port (or the one can directly use the public ip (wan ip), so I called 173 and they told me to visit business center so I went there and the representative asked for my number and told me "it will cost you extra charge for requesting a new modem" (I explained that I already had that kind of modem before but the guy who went to fix my connection never came back and so I am using this old modem) and so she said "wait for a call from 173" so I was like "!!!" it really made me upset. I drove all the way to the business center and it took me 4 hrs to get there...(just for requesting a modem) which I used to have.
