do it right the first time: correct ang exposure, subject is in focus, colour is accurate. pinakacritical ani dire kay focus, IMO. kung hanap / blurred gni imo subject, wala gyd photo diha, unless you are using a lytro, in which case, makaadjust pka sa focus, after the fact. xD

kuan ba, if ever naa mo lingaw2x nga photoshoot with your friends, (but you also like to experiment), do you have to tell the model what/how to pose? Like for example, the model likes igat2x style, but you like korean2x style....?
usually ikaw ang mag buot depende sa theme, unless ang model/subject ang imu client wa kaayo sila ma buhat... if they want gud, you can shoot unsa ila gusto after you get your shot.

snapshots pwede rah ang program mode.

I bet most people will tell you manual mode is the best or to use aperture mode or shutter priority mode but sometimes program mode nindot kay it works like aperture or shutter priority mode mixed to one with the same control(meaning maka change gahapon ka sa value imu gusto)

The correct setting is the best setting. Correct meaning ang creative effect imu gusto like what if gusto ka blurry ang background or maybe in motion ka or unsa...

For an MTV, Short Film & short documentry, use DSLR.
But for big events, Documentaries, live streaming, concerts w/c is uses big stage, please use 3ccd broadcast camera.

---> Usually, yes. Igat2x or Korean style, dapat magkasabot man gyud mo ug "theme" sa shoot kay magkayawag if walay theme.

    2. Is it practical to bring like huge umbrellas, octabox, and tripod (although I don't have them yet) if you are just shooting nga short ra kau ang inyo time to spend for it (due to work and stuff)?
---> Yes, it improves your shots as long as you know how to use it.

    3. Which is better to use in situations that you need to quickly take photos (RAW or JPEG), like party2x or laag2x then you plan to edit them later nlng?
---> If party2x, small na JPEG. If serious photoshoots or as required by the event (ie Sinulog), go RAW.

    4. What do you suggest I use if "I think" I can do better with editing rather than making photoshoot? Work with raw pics or jpeg alone?
---> A little post processing will not hurt but do it right the first time. Ok ra na xa if 5 or 10 ka pictures ra imong i-edit. If maabot na na ug thousands, maglabad na imong ulo. Yes, you can use actions pero not all photos are the same man so you still need to tweak each photo.

    5. What general settings you use anytime to get snapshots or photos with stories as great photographers ?
---> Settings kay depende na sa photographer. For me, I use aperture priority around 80% of the time.

    6. When can I use burst settings?
---> If ganahan ka mo take ug daghan na pictures na successive. Bitaw, dili naman guro ni need ipangutana. :P

    7. Any link you can suggest/advice where I/we can review or check the best settings for certain situation/event?
---> Google is your friend. Pero basically, it depends gyud on each event/situation ug sa imong shooting style.

    8. What is the BEST setting for taking a picture that "I" plan to make as a wallpaper? Kanang himuon gani celebrity style wallpaper?
---> What do you mean celebrity style wallpaper?

    9. And lastly, (although it really depends on a person's preference), do you think it's good to use dslr for videos? Any kind of DSLR...
---> Of course, kanang DSLR na maka video pud na kind. Go Canon :P

Thanks jud kau sa inyong mga response. Yes, learning the program mode now...having some problems with the raw file. Bug-at man diay kau, 5x hehehe...

Why is it nga if I set to program mode, adjust necessary settings sa cam, then use raw file, if i transfer na nako xa sa PC camera raw, dili lagi nice ang result.

Does that mean nga ang raw file, dili jud kaayo necessary ang settings sa cam then?

I have another question...hehehe...sowi jud kay samukan jud ko nga bata...

Kuan ba, if mag take ka ug pictures sa fashion show, like runway or concerts, do you think mas nice ang "shutter priorty"? Kay dili pman ingun ana ka nice akong kamot gud, not sure if ma blurry unya then sayang ang moment.

Ga try2x sad ko ug street and fashion photography, shutter priority japun mas nice if wala ka salig sa u hands noh? Wala pman sad ko tripod

RAW is raw, no adjustments. inside the RAW file is also the jpeg metadata, mao na imo makit-an sa camera preview ug thumbnail preview nig transfer sa PC.

ang parameters sa pagdefine sa jpeg metadata was taken from the creative styles na imong g-set in-camera.

so basically, with RAW, ikaw na mismo ang magluto sa imong photo, how colorful, how saturated, how noisy, etc. of course, you can only manipulate what was recorded by the camera. you can have the jpeg preview as your guide as to how you want the final output would be or you can set your own. that's why RAW is recommended kung into editing ka, kay ikaw ang bahala sa imong luto.

di ba sony user mn ka? if you are using lightroom, you can find here color profiles for almost all the sony cameras:

Maurizio Piraccini Photography: Sony (and Minolta) color profiles for Adobe Camera Raw and Adobe Lightroom - UPDATED October 20, 2012

i use one myself for my nex-5 and a55.
