Default Samsung Galaxy Note 2 vs. iPad mini

Today, Apple finally has the brand new 7.9-inch iPad mini which it will be offering ahead of the holiday shopping season. And while the 7-inch tablet field is littered with competition including the Google Nexus 7 and Amazon Kindle Fire HD, there is another device called the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 that may pose a threat to the iPad mini this holiday season as well. Here is how the iPad mini stacks up against the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 phablet.

The iPad mini will be Apple’s first attempt at a sub 9.7-inch tablet device while the Samsung Galaxy Note has already proven to be a popular device. The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is the successor to the wildly popular Samsung Galaxy Note that hit AT&T’s 4G LTE network earlier this year. And while the device was met with skepticism after its initial announcement, the device went on to sell more than 10 million times worldwide spawning this year’s successor.

Due to the size of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2′s display, it may not be considered by some to be a true iPad Mini competitor. However, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2′s display is large enough where it could potentially lure in consumers who want to marry the size of a small tablet with the power of a smartphone rather than purchasing just a tablet.

Now it’s time to take a deeper look at just how the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 phablet matches up against Apple’s new iPad Mini tablet.

SO POST ALL YOUR OPINION GALZ & GUYZ i'll see ug kinsai mu lamang to buy on XMAS hehe ;D TY!!!

I personally haven't laid my hands off these two. I'm betting on G-Note on this match.
But if iPad Mini's getting the hype, Galaxy note should be near the edge..
Though if you base it on specs i'd say the Galaxy Note owns (Bypassing the display size).

You know I’ve heard several times in different reviews about how silly people will look talking on a phone that big up beside your face (SGN2). Well in my opinion, I believe if you can walk around and see people holding up a tablet in the air and take photos? And not think that looks a little unusual in itself.. my point is this: as new devices and technology are forever changing day by day? I say not to worry about How you look Because these unusual looking devices will soon become the normal and everybody will be walking Around with one.. bring it on Samsung I can’t hardly wait.!!!!!

having an 7incher tablet slapping your face isnt normal at all, as seeing someone mugshoting his friend with his tablet.. just seems hilarious to me (that the reason why i can fall to tablets. its just that it isnt that useful to me). on the other hand, Note1 seems a bit awkward on phonecalls due to its wide dimensions. they rectified it on GN2.

    On the Topic:
IMO the GN2 muscles the iPad Mini all day in every aspect

Well at the end of the day it's all just people's self preference over their gadgets.

BASED ON RESEARCH HERE'S SOME COMMENTS OF CONSUMERS:

    1) Hi!..I changed from iPhone to Note 2 just a few days back..initial feedback is that I feel happy and LIBERATED if you know what I mean.. Still discovering the full potential of this amazing device..already decided to add a 64 gig micro SD card.. Want to carry the world in my pocket.. now this is what i call a trully android experience

    2) I got note2 one week ago...white color...it looks rich in white color than grey...i was blown away by its speed and performance...and even after heavy usage battery lasted for 2 and half days...its battery back up is best than any other phones...i jst love my phone...m very happy to have note2...

    3) its the best piece of mobile technology that can be conceived as of date. i do follow and try out all latest phones. infact it was so great that i went and bought it, despite being an apple fan. it has good battery backup amazingy fast processing and multitasking. All that i could ask for. In one word. WOW. I dont particularly like the looks (i took titanium Grey), but that dont make it any less awesome.

so true, im also amazed the first time i use. i never expected this device to go over 2 days battery life knowing my previous note could only last for 15Hrs maximum. mine went over 50H with at least 40Hrs on wifi and 4hrs of screen time. really amazing battery life.

    MORE COMMENTS:

"I fell in love with it and he currently has an iPhone 4 and wants to switch as soon as his plan is up which is within the next month. It really is much faster than the iPhone and if you can get over the fact that it is much larger than most phones out there, it combines the best of a tablet and a smart phone all in one device."

"just got one of these after being an iPhone sheeple for 5 years. NO regrets. This thing is amazing: beautiful to look at & hold, tons of bells & whistles (my iPhone was jailbroken - don't even miss that), and the simplicity of having to NOT deal with iTunes, etc. is a joy. Highly recommend."

"Used iPhone 5 for couple of weeks, and then switched over to N2.
Must say that N2 is truely amazing phone. Extreme raw power. Jaw dropping graphic experience and awesome speed. Usable storage is only about 10.8 GB in 16GB version. "
