New member fees vary, depending on the month a member joins. The table below shows the corresponding rates that apply to a new member who joins on a particular month.



If a new member joins the Club on April, his initial membership shall be for a full period of six (6) months or until September 30 (when all members renew their dues), and the applicable fee shall be PHP3,000.00. Similarly, if a new member joins the Club on October, his initial membership shall be for a full period of six (6) months or until March 31 (when all members renew their dues), and the applicable fee shall be PHP3,000.00.

If a new member joins the Club after April or after October, rates will be lower as the period of initial membership shall also be shorter.

After the initial membership period, the new member shall pay the renewal dues if he/she wishes to continue his/her membership. To renew membership in the club, a member should pay the fee of P1,700.00 on or before March 30 and on or before October 1.

Why does initial membership expire on September 30 or March 31 (as the case may be)? Those dates coincide with the expiration of the term of membership of all members. Term of membership in the Club commences every first of April and expires on the last day of September, subject to renewal for another 6-month term. Upon renewal, membership re-commences on the first day of October and expires on the last day of March, subject to renewal for another 6-months.

Hi. Don't despair. At first glance, it would seem expensive, but actually it's not. Toastmasters membership is just a fraction of the cost of enrolling in various short-courses on effective communication (e.g. public speaking) and leadership--which are not really effective in the long run. When you join Toastmasters, you have so much to learn and you really learn because you get to apply what you study and practice. Of course, that depends also on you maximizing the benefits of your membership. For the Toastmasters educational program to work, you have to be committed to it. It's just like enrolling for membership in a gym. You pay membership fee but you have to work out in accordance with the plan if you want to get your money's worth.

When you join Toastmasters, you are not limited to your own club. Remember, Toastmasters is an INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATION. Wherever you go in the world, where there is Toastmasters, you will be recognized. In Cebu alone, there are more than 20 clubs which you can visit aside from the club that you choose to join. And how much does it cost to be in these other clubs? None, except if you'd order dinner or a drink for yourself. Some clubs even offer free dinner to visiting Toastmasters.

Give it a try by being a guest in a Toastmasters meeting. The Cebu South Toastmasters will meet 6:00 pm on October 23, 2012 at SME Guadalupe Campus, Emilio Osmena St., Cebu City. If you wish to be personally accompanied, you may contact me at 09173145609.

i already graduated in college but it seems my communication skills and social skills (leadership, public speaking as what you mentioned) dapat iimprove pa. and i absolutely believe this club would help me do that. i know this investment is worth the cost pero aku sa huna2on kay dakua sa membership pd ui. hahay. i'm just an ordinary marketing employee. maybe this december or next year, i'll try to contact you.

Hi. The venue of our club meetings is at the SME Guadalupe Campus. That is the new big building in front of the Buenaventura Condominium at Emilio Osmena Street. It is a few blocks away from Lola Eats Restaurant. From Capitol, M. Velez Street, make a right turn to Emilio Osmena Street (the street across Honda Motorcycles).

We will meet on November 27, 6:00 PM for our club speech contest. We hope to see you there.
