OT: I think it's just a matter of personal preference. If you want to spend your hard-earned cash on a single handbag to reward yourself for all your hard work, and it makes you feel like you're on top of the world, then why not?

I personally have my own collection (mostly composed of the classics, and maybe a few frivolous items because I like it), most are hand-me-downs from family members. Some, I personally bought with my own cash, but I have never spent on anything beyond my means. I make sure that if I buy something, it's not going to compromise my monthly bills, basic necessities and other means of comfort.

If I'm eyeing on a particular item that I already KNOW I can't afford for the life of me...then I don't bother buying a replica. What's the point? If I just like the style of the bag, then I can probably find a similar design somewhere from a no-name label house and get that one instead of tainting my already existing pieces.

Just my two cents! I DO hope you find your re-seller for your mom though. If you want the total designer-shopping experience, of course nothing beats hitting the flagship stores. There are plenty in Greenbelt Makati. But please know that Manila prices are roughly 30% more expensive than say, Hong Kong (only 3 hours away! lol)

In Cebu, I only know of Citybags. Try looking them up on Facebook. I heard there are a lot of other re-sellers out there, but I don't know of any. Hope this helps! HAVE FUN!
