Post ko sa akong thoughts ha...
PROS:
- Maayo kaayo pagka-capture ang sense of isolation sa rural life sa bukid.
- Hi-def ang quality sa film. Was expecting less.
- Competent make-up
- No cheap scares (jump-out-of-your-seat moments)
CONS:
- Naay problema sa pacing. A lot of stretched out scenes / fillers at the beginning of the movie (among a few: chores, lots of slow panning shots mostly of vegetation, a lot of walking), scenes that made the movie feel like a filming exercise, barely telling the audience anything other than "this is rural life".
- Not very well-acted. Ambot kung sa actors ba or sa director ang kulang. At times the dialogues feel staged. (***SPOILER*** That said, there are scenes without any dialogue worth noting - especially the scene where Franco realizes his wife is going to die, all while trying to feed his child. Good subtle acting from him, though not a fan of his acting when there's some dialogue involved.)
- Subpar special effects, but forgivable for an indie production.
Overall, lingaw raman pud siya. Ang mga tao sigeg panyagit. I hope it does well in its theatrical run kay bisdak production gyud ni.
