I am working as their consultant and public relations specialist, tapped them with tv networks, celebrities and established partnerships for them. Actually, it was just a "daring move" and I wasn't even sure if I can do the job since I don't know the industry I was engaging with. The only thing I had in my mind when I was on my flight was...."bahala na si wonder woman!!!" paired with "I have to make it work!!!" na mindset. All in all, it was a success and they are pleased with the results and they have retained me for their on going projects.
So istoryans, BE BOLD and AGGRESSIVE with your online work. Because you'll never know what good opportunities you'll have.

Important Update on LFT (email from oDesk)
Dear XXX,
We know how important it is for you to have easy access to your funds, which is why we’re writing with an update on the recent difficulties we’ve had transferring money to the Philippines. If you have been affected by this issue, we really can’t apologize enough. It has been very frustrating for everyone involved.
Why did this happen?
The issues around funds not being received began when we switched banking partners at the end of September. Apparently, there was some logic related to account numbers that our new banking partner was not prepared to handle.
What is oDesk doing about it?
These issues are not acceptable and we are working round the clock to fix them. Here are the current updates and information on all the issues:
BPI fee waiver update
Between September 27 and October 12, LFT withdrawals to BPI were erroneously charged a lifting fee of PHP150. Refunds have been sent out to those who were charged the fee. If have not received your refund, please contact Customer Support.
Funds transfer timing
Funds will be posted within three business days instead of two. Previously, if you withdrew on Wednesday, you received funds on Friday. BPI has indicated that these funds will now be posted by Saturday morning.
Withdrawal issues
Incorrect Bank Account Numbers
Some transfers have not gone through because incorrect BPI account numbers have been entered into oDesk accounts. There are generally two reasons for this:
1) Debit card numbers have been entered instead of a 10 digit BPI account number
2) The two zeroes prior to a BPI account number have been entered
Please check your oDesk account to confirm that your BPI account number is correct! Remember—your BPI account number should be 10 digits. If not it may be rejected or you may be charged a lifting fee. You can find your account number on the back of your debit/ATM card, on your statement, or by contacting your bank's support.
USD Accounts
Accounts where the 4th digit is ‘4’ or ‘8’ are USD accounts and are not eligible for Local Funds Transfer, as we cannot deliver Pesos to a USD account. If you would like to receive funds to this account, please use USD wire transfer or other payment method.
BPI Family Savings & BPI Direct Savings
BPI has many divisions that operate independently: BPI, BPI Family Savings, BPI Direct Savings. For a small number of contractors with BPI Family Savings accounts, funds were sent to the incorrect BPI entity. A solution for this issue is being tested and we hope to have it released very soon. In the meantime, you may use an alternate payment method.
Again, we truly apologize. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.
All our best,
oDesk Customer Support
