You can't take in the oxygen because it's bonded to the hydrogen atoms.

Btw, we don't breathe oxygen, we breathe air. Pareha sa scuba; it's not compressed oxygen but compressed air.

hahaha, we only designed to breath Oxygen in Gas with inert materials, Oxygen + Hydrogen is in liquid form.

@moymoy, yes we can drink pure water, the impurities of water are only the TDS, chlorides... etc , if you boil it and collect the vapor, that is distilled water and its pure, you have to have some minerals on it thats why we have a Mineral water in the Store... hehehehe

The distilled water is a nice contender but not 100% Pure Water I guess? Also, Mineral water doesn't count. so.. can we drink PURE water?

^^ YES. In definition water is made of two atoms of hydrogen bound to one atom oxygen (H20). In reality there is no pure water because water is the best solvent and tends to dissolve almost everything (except for some substances that are called "insoluble"). For the sake of your argument, we can categorize it into two parts. 1st- Essential minerals are removed from pure water and that is bad. 2nd - pure water leaches minerals from the body and is also bad. In reality there is no such thing as pure water. In my 1st statement that pure water has no trace of essential minerals, somewhat summarizes that you cannot get something from it. But essential minerals are mostly obtained from the food we eat. So water only contributes partly to the minerals that our body will need. 2nd statement is not possible in such that once water enters the mouth and mixes with our saliva, renders it non-aggressive because it will mix with numerous organic compounds (e.g. lysozyme, amylases, statherins, histatins, etc.) all of which are highly soluble in water thus once it enters the mouth the mixture could not possibly qualify as pure water.
