But you're still on high risk even 6 months LOL. Hep B is asymptomatic so I recommend you to do regular check up and do again diagnostic blood tests to see if the phase of your virus is active or not.

With due respect on your comment bossing. I had to defend my previous comments in same way.

Hepatitis B is an asymptomatic? In what way? How come? When you say asymptomatic meaning without obvious symptoms. Hepatitis B is symptomatic (of symptoms).

To prove that you’re pretty obvious wrong, as per acknowledged by the Department Of Health, Philippines the S/S of a hepatitis B to mention few:

    • loss of appetite
    • easy fatigability
    • malaise
    • joint and muscle pain (similar to influenza)
    • low grade fever
    • nausea and vomiting
    • right sided abdominal pain
    • jaundice
    • dark-colored urine

having said that the patient is still on a high risk status on hepatitis B, then what are your basis in diagnosing a pt like this? Because as you said hepatitis B is asymptomatic no way. If you try to read back the testimony of the pt. considering the laboratory result is negative. Another fact is, incubation period (interval before symptoms) of hepatitis B is 45 to 160 days (average: 60 to 120 days). Pt confessed that the act was done sometimes on May this year and he estimated 6 months (so its more or less at around 180 days ago) hence, pt exceed expectations.

On the good side i concur with you bossing that the pt needs to do a regular check up and diagnostic blood tests coz only the laboratory examination could tell the final possible outcomes.

Doing this to comfort the patient in my little way and nothing more.

Ok, I respect your opinion bossing. Infection with Hep B can lead to ASYMPTOMATIC or acute symptomatic (based on your posts enumerating symptoms of an acute Hep B patient). Most liver deaths (cancer/cirrhosis) from Hep B viral infection emanates the asymptomatic Hep B infections that leads to the progress of chronic Hepatitis B.

Meaning to say, the infection is limited or NO SYMPTOMS BUT and often lead to increase in bilirubin levels which forms jaundice/dark colored urine (chronic symptoms). Liver enzymes changed dramatically and that resulted thru deprivation of it's blood supply and oxygen. It follows the acute symptoms ( malaise, anorexia, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, urticaria, influenza symptoms). However, the outcome of Hepa B viral infection depends on the patient's age. Adults and young children are more likely to develop acute Hepatitis B and it will last only 6 months or less (considered self limiting).

As what I've assessed, the patient claimed that he doesn't have the symptoms and verbalized that the girl told him that she was infected with Hep B. Patients who have contact with the infected person is on HIGH RISK FOR INFECTION. Even his HbsAG is non-reactive or negative, he needs some further assessment and it doesn't mean that he's already shunned the liver phase of infection. There's still a risk to develop into chronic Hepa B as what I've said earlier. Chronic Hepatitis B is turned to be ASYMPTOMATIC. Others may revaccinate into 3 doses of vaccine. That's why I recommend for regular check up and blood tests.

"You're on risk kay naa kay sexual contact sa infected partner. Even naka safe ka using condom BUT walay assurance nga ok naka. Wala ta kibaw kung na SLIP ba ang iyang vaginal secretions sa imuha which is very infectious OR na contact with her vaginal blood (lacerating hymen/open sores) sa iyaha. It can also be transmitted through saliva but not merely on kissing. Take note Hepa B virus is more infectious than HIV. So probably naka HbsAG negative ka then nagvaccinate ka last session nimu this december for 3rd dose? After 3rd dose of your vaccination, magpa Hep B serological test ka for 1 to 2 months after sa last dose sa imung vaccination.

    OT:
@ bossing prestige you should consider the incubation period as verbalized by @derick10, the labs, the theory & whatnot. my explanations would be tomorrow. need to sleep na coz have to wake up early morning for jogging. Ayaw palabihi ang patient kay dli napud na makatulog unya hehehe just kidding.

@ bossing derick10 pacify yourself in every problem there's a solution and am very much positive based on your statement that everything would be fine.

have a blessed Sunday on both of you. just dropping by. ciao for now

LOL I already assessed bossing derick's concern and even aware about the incubation period. Hep B could be acute or chronic; symptomatic or asymptomatic. Dili na ko patulogon si bossing LOL, bitaw ma ok rana, ma NEGATIVE rana, mabuild nana ug antibodies. Dili man gud exact 6 months kay based ra sa iyang gihinumduman (subjective cue), mao na ang best proof kana ra jud magpa hep B serological test after 3 doses of vaccination. Have a blessed day pud bossing diamonds.

Kani bossing prestige mo agree nako nimo ani. Acute & chronic hepatitis B both symptomatic & asymptomatic not necessarily asymptomatic.

In my personal perspective & IMHO my assessment to @ derick10 based on his testimony he surpasses the following: (nitty-gritty approach)

    • The average incubation period of 60 to 90 days (range is 40 to 60 days) for Acute hepatitis B.
    • In general, incubation period of 45 to 160 days (average 60 to 120 days)
    • As verbalized by the patient signs & symptoms were not present.
    • The act was done 6 months ago with condom ( I guess it works though not perfectly sure)
    • HBsAG test negative (non reactive)

So what could i say more to @derick 10. have peace of mind bro, para mawala imo anxiety kaon pirmi og bananas bro para ma set free imo mind pirmi. No more anxities bro ha!.

@ derrick 10 heads up lang bro, take the advise of bossing prestige after completed your 3 doses of vaccination have hepatitis B serologic test.
