Every concern citizen wanted federalism but the national govt dont like it. Senators do not prioritize it kay dato naman sila daan. Congressman and mayors dont push for it kay dato na sila daan.

won't this require an amendment of the Local Government Code? and if so, will such an amendment ALSO affect other Highly Urbanized Cities (who may or may not be in favor of such a proposal)? How will this impact income distribution? and administrative systems?

OTOH, the 500k or so voters in Cebu City will cerainly mean a huge block.

i amend jud tong balaod nga nag declare sa mga urbanize city... however if ang point is to give cebu city resident option to vote any provincial position then ok ra siguro...

Well, para sa ako, dili ko uyon.
Economically, murag ok naman cya. Focused ang cebu city mayor and council sa cebu city economic activities, and then ang provincial capitol pud focus sa province.
Bringing the two together in politics, for me, will create more harm than good, considering sa quality sa atong mga politicians karon. Not now.
