Default Help. Employed Istoryan Wanting to go Back to School

    Hello Istoryans,

I need your help and advice.

My course was nursing. I was a deanslister but didn't like the course and the professors so I stopped going to school when I reached 3rd yr. I'm currently employed in a callcenter with split rest days that changes every week. My shift usually starts 7-9:30pm - 6am.

I've been extremely, super dreaming of finishing a degree. Before I took nursing, my 1st choice was an IT course. Anyone of you knows an IT university or a decent school good for an employee like me? If possible kanang dali ra mahuman ang course. Since I work at night, mas better if gamay ra ang subjects and duol sa IT park. I will pay my tuition fees and everything so ayaw nang mahal pud kaayo.

In my field, degrees don't matter as long as you've reached 2nd yr but I consider a degree an achievement. I'm 25 and getting older. im afraid it might be late to get one if dugayon pa nako.

Those who were working students before, feel free to share your experiences and kahago just to earn the degree you worked so hard to get. I know di lalim but kayahon nako! AJA!

    thanks,
    coco

Sometimes Lisod jud dunganon ang duha.. In your case ts shift nalang ug It sa same school sa imong pagka nursing.. maytag naa pud sad sa imong g.skwelahan.. para less imong trabahoon and most of your subjects ma accredit and hinay-hinayon lang nimo kuha ang mga IT major.. in that way maka adjust paka sa imong time sa work ug sa imong pag skwela..

AJA ts parehas rata ani.. pero sa ako.a ni resign ko kay i want to focus sa skwela 2nd year paman gd ko.. GO lang ng GO!!

    Hi Coco,

I feel your dilemma bai but if I were you I need to choose just one priority because you can't serve two masters at the same time..nay jud na risk. If you'll do good sa school that might affect sad sa imo work kay kapoy naka then duka pa jud ka ana - or vice versa you'll do good sa work then maglisod nasad ka apas sa school projects or related issues.

But if ganahan jud ka nga 2 jud kay fighter man jud ka... pede ka kakuha short courses nlng kay ang IT shado na ka general na course mas mayo ask yourself unsa nga specialization imo e push such as graphic designing ba or focus jud ka sa programming or both. Lisod man mag enroll sa usa ka University kay mahal kaau ang tuition fee tapos di man kamao uban teacher dha.

Share ko lng akon experience ha...I have a degree in BS Computer Science but la jud nako nagamit akoa programming skills kay gn tapolan nako kay na exposed man ko pano makakita kuarta nga di kana maghuna2x grabe jud.

Anyway ang decision naa ra ghapon sa imo...good luck!

Good decision there dude. Prioritize your studies rather than stuck for the rest of your life. IMO, call center isn't a lifetime profession unless if you're flexible enough. I find it stressful while working at the same time studying (esp. full time). Make sure you're confident dealing with time management to attain your desired degree. Good luck.
