How to check for Canon 60d and 550d shutter counts or actuations

Good day mga istoryans

Need help unta how to check for actuations for canon 60d and 550d. i tried checking eoscount bt may bayad e.hope someone can help me with this problem.thanks lots

Ug kahibawo ka'g Linux, use gphoto. Here's their website: gPhoto - Projects :: libgphoto2 :: supported cameras. Free and open source na siya.

Mao ni how to:


First install gphoto2 and libgphoto2-2 using sudo apt-get or Synaptic.

Once installed, connect the DSLR. Unmount it.

Fire up the Terminal and type the following command:

gphoto2 --get-config /main/status/shuttercounter

Press Enter and voila!

It can also be used for other DSLR's as well, though it couldn't determine the shuttercount when I tried it on a Nikon D3000.

hassle-free way is to check online...just use internet explorer and read the steps..

mao ni accurate nga reading kay e connect ang imong camera thru usb and not by using the photo as reference.

good day mga ka istoryans.salamat kaayo sa tips.unfortunately ang sa magic lantern d b ma usab man ang firmware?maayo unta f dili lg sya ma usab.and very unfortunate wla dyud ko knowledge mu linux.but ya i heard it could check d shuter count.sayang.btw boss peppo,i tried also the eoscount but pag connect nako sa cable,mu ask naman sya ug payment para ma appear akong shutter count.

pls let me know lang mga ka istoryans f naa pa other way na free ra unta.i also have tried eos info but wen i connect my cam,wla dyud mu apear.i think it works sa other model but not sa 550d and 60d unfortunately

dili man mausab ang FW kung mo gamit kag magic lantern..naa ra na store sa memory card ang magic lantern nya dili niya i alter imong FW gyud sa camera..mura ra siyag apps kung sa mga smartphone pa..kung once na dili naka ganahan mo gamit imo ra i reformat ang card..
