CD-R king is the cheapest katong isa ka model is at 1.8K while katong higher model(stand alone) nila is 2.8k, quality nila is so-so ra pud. Canon 9000F is a good option pero at 11K it's a good investment kay mo scan siya ug medium format and 35mm and naa pud siya FARE (film advance retouching and enhancing) . IMO Epson is the best(balance of quality ug price) karon see the line up here: Home & Professional Photo Scanners - Epson America, Inc. ako suggestion is at least the V500 and up if maka afford because of the Digital ICE (digital image correction and enhancement) Why the digital ice and fare because sometimes it's sooooo wroth it than fixing dust and scratches like forever.

like you nag quest pud ko ug pangita ug scanner diri sa Cebu mao ni ang na hitabo.. share lang ko sa akong experience.. basin maka tabang here it goes, ni ad2 and call ko sa mga computer shops diri the only scanner naa nila is katong canon something ug epson something nga basic scanner ra gud for documents no film. I even tried inquiring about sah epson v series scanner diri, in thinking tools (calling all their offices) ambot kung wa kahibaw sila unsa nah nga item o wala gud nah pero gi ingan ko mao ra gud toh available. I was really considering CD-R King kay kita ko sa katong film is not dead nga thread okay man ang gawas pero ang nag pugong nako is the quality sa scanner in terms of dpi... ang max nila is 1800dpi, wa gud ko idea kung unsa nga ka dako max i.print. Then while window shopping sa Amazon naa ko na kit.an nga V300 for sale! it was like about $56 new! order ko dayon oie! Then pag abot sa unit everything is esmooth! awesome! although wa ni siya Digital ICE pero ma minimize lang if i.limpyo ang film then pag scan gamay nalng nga dust ma bilin.. easy fix but the real pain was the shipping cost&tax $14(from Amazon to JAC office in NYC) then from NYC to Cebu which cost me around $160 due to the bulky size sa item. A few months nah since my scanner arrived scanned a lot of film wai mahay, quality is good as was able to print to good size @2400dpi resize from original size 24x36mm to 8x12 inches with confidence.

    ---

long story short kung gi kapoy ug basa...

    get CD-R king if
    you shoot 35mm lang
    pang fb rah or upload

get the "branded flatbed" ones like Canon 9000F(I think you can get this at any Canon store) or Epson V series(tried inquiring sa mga shops diri without avail, maybe sa Manila naa or online like Amazon) if
you shoot medium format* (ambot kung asa mo mag pa DO.. hehehe)
    you print

*some branded 35mm lang if you decide to get a quality 35mm scanner for you.

    ---

If you consider getting from Amazon naa pud sila option of dedicated nga scanner like what Edwin_sn has. Which is considerably lighter ug mas compact so di tingali ana ka mahal ang shipping.
