PROBLEM: Installing XP sa pentiumIII 500mhz pc

mga brod, dili ko computer technician, all i know kay mga basic install, partition, format, etc.

naglibog ko kay ganahan unta ko mag install ug winXP sa kani pentiumIII na pc i got recently, ang problema, dili mopadayon ang installation, kutob ra siya sa pag format sa HardDrive, i'm getting all this prompts like, your hard drive C: is corrupted, your disk may be damaged, cannot format your drive, use another harddrive. pero sure ko nga dili guba akong hard drive kay i tried it in two HARD Disk, same problem. you think this is a MOBO issue? thanks sa inyong hinabang...

Brad try to check kng ang existing bios na nag support ba ug windows xp, ug wala mag support you nee to update the bios,,,warning lng sa risk pag update ug old motherboard bios kay 50 50 gyud na, pero ug ma sekwate man gani ang result ask lng help sa greenvally.

im using pIII with win xp no problem at all, i think you got a bad HD.

my old 466mhz celeron pc was using win xp, with only 4.3 gig hdd

i even run an xp sp2 on a 200mhz PII with 64mb ram. 2gb hdd. very old bios.

my guess. try to check ur installation CD..if ok cya. ur RAM..( erros are cant copy ***.dlls and sorts )

yeah and try to check ur cables..

mine is running smoothly... PIII at winXP pro sp2. 256+128 mem, 2HDs, 1external HD.

gihatag sa akong cousin ang iyang celeron na 333mhz,64mb sdram,2gb seagate and 4mb video card. Windows 98 ang OS ato pero ako giformat then ako gi.installan og windows xp ,work man pero dugaya nahuman sa install oi hehe

bro. try to check imong RAM abot ba 128mb and up, kay mao iyang requirements e check pud imong hardisk bad clusters tingali daghan na kaayo.

thanks sa inyong mga reply brod. wala jud koy success, gave up na. i tried it on two HDDs.. i dont think its the problem. update BIOS, maybe, RAM, maybe. i'm running 256mb of it.. maybe kani ang deperensiya. ahak malas lang jud, ruelnov gave up on my previous board, same borad, asus p3v133. i got another one, the same one, same stupid prob. i may have to settle with win98...

naay technician diri? talamban area lang kay layo kaau green valley.. wala pa gani nako makuha akong refund ..
