This is again welfare state romanticizing failures. Now, what you do in your room is your business but IMHO, to live with women or men on the streets selling themselves like ordinary merchandise and commercial ads? That's just not for me, man. Something is wrong with that. Terribly wrong. UN is just making everything worse, and they are historically known for that, not to mention their piss poor managing crisis around the world despite being paid billions and billions of funds from different countries.
It's very dumbfounding how people here are mentioning about advertising prostitution by posting it on the billboards , newspaper and TV ... are you stupid ? Of course those types of ads don't have a place in a major TV network or daily newspaper where minors can purchase and see it . Let alone in public ??
The UN are asking the PH gov't to regulate prostitution in order to control STDs . If the gov't would do this , then there would be a mandatory clinical check-ups for prostitutes as their safety and sanitary requirements . The UN are right about this actually if the gov't have control on this industry . Other thing is to educate people on engaging to safe s3x .
I'd trust the UN than these posters here that I'm not even sure if these posters earned a degree or qualified for any position in the UN that I would listen and agree to everything they post here . I couldn't even fathom their analysis of what will happen if prostitution becomes legal . Loooooool ...
Hmm I don't remember the rules that it needed a particular degree to voice your opinion on here. Sure we do not agree on this matter and I didn't force anyone nor insinuated that what I said was absolutely true. What I did was attack the idea because I think UN has become more detrimental over the years and basically see it as a useless organization. And the UN pushing to regulate prostitution and safe s*x recalling the manner they did in Africa where they just pedaled the use of contraceptives on corrupt governments hoping it would lessen STDs (amidst protests from various organizations) turned out it made the epidemic quite worse because it made people more complacent on the system to take care of them and complacent on their sexual behavior believing contraceptives was enough not to get STD.
So with this, they say prostitutes will be regularly checked up but who checks the customers? And what happens to the woman or man when she/he get STD from an infected customer? I do not recall the UN having the cure for AIDS.

maynta ang murder, ma legalize na pud,..nag-una pa mn unta ning murder sa prostitution oy("cain and abel"), unahon unta ni sa UN ug urge na ma legal na ang murder,..
You don't need to consider what the church will do, whatever church your talking about. Bisan sa peronal nga pangagpas sa usa ka tawo, klarong bastos ug dakong binuang nang klaseha sa plano.
It defies morality as we know it, it desecrates our culture! It will scandalize the Filipino society and most of all man (I'm not saying all) of all race will lose respect of our women.
I respect women who succumbs to prostitution, I respect them as a person but at the same time I despise them for being too weak against the struggles in life.
I hope the government does not come up with a decision anywhere close to this, because it will definitely cross a lot of lines! Mga Muslim pa lang daan.
