grabe kaayo nangreact ang uban. It's not racist. In my opinion, she was just saying that she doesn't want to be out in the sun a lot because her skin easily gets dark. Instead of being a Chinese, she might be referred to as a Filipino/"look a little Filipino.." Unsaon na lang kaha ni ang uban, isog kaayo tungod sa "racist comments" daw ni Lucy Liu, nya sila diay grabe kaayo maka-inject ug gluta, kuwang na lang apilon ug kaon ang papaya soap.. PEACE!!!

When Letterman asked Liu, who is shooting her new TV series “Elementary,” if she enjoys running indoors or outdoors, she answered, “I run in a machine. It is easier for me. Also, if I get really dark, I’ll start to look a little Filipino. It wouldn’t match.”

i run outdoors. it's easier for me. Also, if I get really white, I'll start to look a little Chinese. It wouldn't match. - Does that make me racist too? OA jud kaayong mga netizens oie!

Ergo, sometimes it's the big businesses (both local and transnational) that want to preserve the status quo, if it generates substantial income from them.
