Answer: No difference, they are the same. Not that I've seen one but the notion is the same.
ambot lang kaha bai kay ingon sila ang difference daw kay ang engkantada kay has very pretty face na ma obsses jud ka nila but then a white lady is a faceless and it will would scare you away... lets just say they had the same custom but their style is different man sad.
Sa akong nahibaw-an kay :
ENGKANTADA - Supernatural
WHITE LADY - Restless ghost
" A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. " - 2nd Amendment , Bill of Rights of the United States of America
Engkatadas and 'white ladies' are both supernatural entities.
They can be considered elementals of nature, the engkatadas more on the living side of nature than the "white ladies", who are essentially ghosts of dead women. Though please remember that death is a part of nature.
They are often mistaken for each other because of the similarities of appearances, particularly that they wear white but that is not often the case.
An 'engkatada can be mistaken for a white lady, but a white lady should not be mistaken for an engkatada.
According to folklore based on tribal oral traditions, engkatadas are known to have dark hair but with golden highlights(sometimes truly blond), ethereally beautiful, with above average height, with luminous fair skin. They are known to wear jewelry.
They're commonly seen as white, but are also described wearing other bright colors. Like rainbows.
There are males in their species. I do not think there are male "white ladies."
Engkatadas can also shapeshift into animals or possess animal attributes like pointed ears, glowing eyes, horns, fur, feathers etc.. They can appear during the day as well as the night.
Engkatadas are often accompanied by attendant spirits, companions in the form of small animals like birds or bright lights.
Engkatadas are known to engage in long, personal conversation with humans.
Engkatadas do not "haunt" human-made structures or the remains of one, but they're known to visit gardens and human dreams.
So I guess that's one way to differentiate engkatadas and 'white ladies'; the location of the apparition/vision.
If it's near a place of nature like a tree, forest grove or a waterfall, then its most likely it's an engkatada.
If it's within a building or on the road, most likely it's 'a white lady'.

i think they are basically the same since they are of the same astral dimension/plane.
Isnt that supposed to be the division of the definition of SUPERNATURAL and the PARANORMAL thus the difference of the ENGKANTADA and the WHITE LADY respectively ?
