most of them didnt actually hacked the site but they just D-DOS the target site, thou some had been defaced... i know some of their tools i used sa ethical hacking so i could fix the problem before they find it...

They don't claim to be the solution to the problem so let's not expect hacking as the solution. It's just another form of activism-hacktivism. I guess they do it because they can. If I could I would too.

On a side note they should stop wearing that overused Guy Fawkes mask. Guy was more of a Jesuit assassin than an actual freedom fighter and that his mission was a failure...

The emergence of hacktivism in the Philippines has been since 2000. Before it was just for fame or bragging rights. But years gone by it became a form of expression and awareness to the government or whoever their targets with regards to political issues or beefing up their security. And what's they are doing now.
