i got to talk to one of the tech. boys from smart. he said the system is being overloaded sobra na kau ang ratio. They are having a price war with Globe but the service is being sacrificed. that is why they always put in print the word "up to" on the speed/bandwidth. usual speed on the average is only 50 to 80 kbps lang on peak hours. but mostly its just 40

i dont know if na 512 na ba akoa coz i have not seen portal in ages. it used to be within these bounds:

up: 289
down: 356

then i tweaked canopy... believe it or not it worked wonders....

up: 502
down: 508

torrent downloads and uploads = 56KB down while doing 52KB up at the same time... ASTIG! for a smartbro connection.

Tweaking the canopy? How is that possible?

Any ideas why I would always get to a login page before I can connected to the internet. This is always happen every time after I turned on/reboot my PC.
