"This soldier stood and faced our God, Which "must" come to pass. He hoped his shoes were shining, Just as brightly as his brass. "Step forward now, Soldier, How shall I deal with you? Have you always turned the other cheek? To My Church have you been true?" The Soldier squared his shoulders and said, "No, Lord, I honestly haven't Because those of us who carry "weapons", haven't always been honest and true". I've had to work most Sundays, and at times my "emotion" was rough. Sometimes I've been "violent" because this world is "awfully" corrupt. But, I never took a penny, that wasn't mine to keep. Although I worked a lot of overtime, the bills became increasingly steep. I never passed a cry for help, though at times I shook with fear. And sometimes, God, forgive me, I've "wept" unheard and tears of doubt. I know my "deeds" don't deserve a place, among that which is considered righteous. Many people never wanted me around, "except" to calm their fears. If you've a place for me here, Lord, It needn't be so grand. I never expected or asked for too much, But if you don't, I'll understand. There was a silence all around the throne, Where the saints had often trod. As the soldier waited quietly, for the Judgment from "his" only God. "Step forward now "soldier" You've borne your burdens well. Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets, You've done your time in an alternative Hell." The soldier said "thank you" in the name of Jesus Christ, and instantly recognized all of the soldiers lost in the earthly "fight" they responded with the command of "Rest, you may have failed many of our Lords "commandments" but this day you have passed the ultimate Test!"

JMM Covers- Dwells God.mp4 - YouTube

Behind our restless search for greater meaning,
and answers to our deepest questioning,
    beneath relentless faith,
    boundless hope, surrend'ring love.

Behind our trust that all things will be better,
that peace will reign and mercy will prevail,
    deep in our hearts,
in our souls, in all we are

    Dwells God, eternal God,
    self-giving God, all pow'rful love.
More than we ever know or may believe,
the truth remains that deep within us dwells God.

Behind the deep regret for all our failings,
and hunger for the pardon of our sins,
    beneath our restless shame,
desire to rise from them again.

Behind our courage to forgive each other,
and willingness to heal each other's pain,
    deep in our hearts,
in our souls, in all we are
    (Refrain twice)

    Dwells God.

Be cheerful! Jesus will take care of everything. Let us pay no attention to people who do not know what they are talking about. Let us trust in Jesus and our heavenly Mother, and everything will work out well.

These prayers are very nice. If done sincerely from the heart, this is very effective. I like St. Francis and Mother Teresa.

    ~PRAYER~

    Jesus, our Passionate Messiah,
    your obedience is infinite,
You are the Lamb of God,
the sacrifice that will liberate us
    from sin and death,
the offering that will cross us over to grace and life.
You who only knew fidelity and tepidity,
    cast our laziness and indifference,
whose energy is drawn from you,
whose fervor is obtained from you.
    Even as the world
does not understand and accept us,
    may we never lose heart.
    The long road lies ahead
but we will never grow cold
    for you are with us.
    AMEN

set my eyes on You Lord, that i may see the works of Your hands.
let me hope for the day that i will be with You rather than temporary things in this world.
let me live the kind of life that puts a smile on Your face..
for my soul will not rest till it rests in You!

    i want to share this.....

Here is the creed for the modern thinker:

We believe in Marx, Freud, and Darwin. We believe everything is okay as long as you don't hurt anyone, to the best of your definition of hurt, and to the best of your definition of knowledge.

We believe in *** before, during, and after marriage. We believe in the therapy of sin. We believe that adultery is fun. We believe that sodomy is okay. We believe that taboos are taboo.

We believe everything is getting better, despite evidence to the contrary. The evidence must be investigated, and you can prove anything with evidence.

We believe there's something in horoscopes, UFOs, and bent spoons. Jesus was a good man, just like Buddha, Mohammed, and ourselves. He was a good moral teacher, although we think basically his good morals were really bad.

We believe that all religions are the same, at least the ones that we read were. They all believe in love and goodness. They only differ on creation, sin, heaven, hell, God, and salvation.

We believe that after death comes nothing, because when we ask the dead what happens they say nothing. If death is not the end, and if the dead have lied, then it's compulsory heaven for all except perhaps for Hitler, Stalin, and Genghis Khan.

We believe in Masters and Johnson, "what's selected is average, what's average is normal, and what's normal is good" We believe in total disarmament, we believe there are direct links between warfare and bloodshed; Americans should beat their guns into tractors, and the Russians would be sure to follow.

We believe that man is essentially good, it's only his behavior that lets him down. This is the fault of society, society is the fault of conditions, and conditions are the fault of society.

We believe that each man must find the truth that is right for him, and reality will adapt accordingly; the universe will readjust, history will alter.

We believe that there is no absolute truth, except the truth that there is no absolute truth. We believe in the rejection of creeds and the flowering of individual thought. If chance be the father of all flesh, disaster is his rainbow in the sky. And when you hear "state of emergency," "sniper kills 10," "troops on rampage," "youths go looting," "bomb blasts school," it is but the sound of man worshipping his maker.
