    future purposes is maybe the point. who knows, he might buy a new mobo next morning. anyway, p4vmm2 is already a senior citizen.

    but still in demand now due to it amazingly beats ddr2's performance(single bank/non-dual channeled) in some aspects.... compared to socket 478 in which production is surely no more. so that is why i treat is as senior citizen. got my point already?

    beats ddr2 in some aspects, but surely beaten by ddr2 in most aspects... and maybe you are aware that the newest of mobos produced no longer support ddr. you get my point also?

    nah, still ddr is in very demand nowadays as you can see. do you think most people are buying the new mobos you mean where they have still there recent mobos kicking? even I switched back to ddr due to i find ddr2 lesser performance with my kind of usage. even the thread starter is using p4vmm2, lol ^^

    anyway, enough of this discussion. you cant help the thread starter by those postings of yours, and its way far off topic already.

    back to the topic!

    @ jhunric

    so whats the status bai? have you converted the mobo already to support ddr? its quite easy though, im sure you can do it with ease.

    well, who started? and who's post doesn't help? the thread starter asked if it's supported and i said no, but you said yes, confusing being able to run in lower capacity to being supported... if what you did mean, as what you have mentioned, was that it would "still run but in lower capacity", you could have stated it clearly other than contradicting what the other poster has said when you mean another thing. being able to run not in it's capacity does not mean it's supported. and it's what the ECS website says.

    now back to the topic...

    @jhunric

    ddr400 is not supported by p4vmm2 but would surely run in lower capacities than what it is intended for.
