    WHAT: MCAP BUSHCRAFT CAMP 01-2012

    WHERE: Mt. Balagbag, Bulacan, Philippines

    WHEN: September 29, 30 and October 1, 2012

    Description: This is a three-day affair with the impetus towards the learning of basic wilderness skills and strengthening of camaraderie among MCAP members.

    Itinerary:

    DAY 1
    11:30 – Assembly, Jollibee-Tungko, San Jose del Monte
    (Take your breakfast before start of activity)

    13:00 – Leave San Jose del Monte for campsite
    15:00 - Arrive campsite, rest & rehydrate
    14:00 – Explore camp, pitch tents/sleeping quarters

    What to Bring: Survival knife/folding knife/multi-tool set, cook set, camp stove, at least 3 liters water, spoon-fork set, food good for FIVE (5) meals, safety matches/lighter, cell phone, flashlight & batteries, extra clothes and socks, tent, sleeping bag, tarpaulin, etc.

    Other Info: At least FIFTEEN (15) participants. Minimum training fee is P400.00 to include certificate, literature handout, instructor’s fee and other expenses.     I really like your concept of the outdoors. i used to camp and hike in my scouting days. i love the outdoors, joined a mountaineering group but somehow there seems to be something wrong with their concepts.id like to join on your trips one of these days.

    Mainstream activities like mountain climbing and backpacking rely more on gears, pictures of jumping people and packed lunch (sic). My concept of outdoor activity is more on adaptation and being in a real world. No fancy stuff just grassroots learning of survival skills.

    Default CROSS COUNTRY HIKE: Mt. Manunggal to Guadalupe

    WHAT: CEBU HIGHLANDS TRAIL SEGMENT 1B

    ROUTE: Mt. Manunggal, Balamban to Guadalupe, Cebu City

    WHEN: October 27-28, 2012

    Description: A man-sized hike that will traverse the Central Cebu Mountain Range and the Babag Mountain Range starting from Mt. Manunggal and ending at Guadalupe. A walking distance covering 48-55 kilometers that will cross the Trans-Central Highway, Bangbang River, Bonbon River and Sapangdaku River.

    Itinerary:

    DAY 1
    08:00 – Assembly, Mt. Manunggal
    08:30 – Leave Mt. Manunggal for Kapiyoan via Inalad Trail
    10:00 – Arrive Kapiyoan, rest & rehydrate
    10:30 – Leave Kapiyoan for Inalad

    There will be FOUR meals. We will each bring our food. Milled corn will be the staple food and we will carry one kilo each. DO NOT BRING CANNED GOODS: It is heavy and it is still heavy when empty.

    Other Info: Expedition Team will first assemble at JY Square at 04:00 to 05:30 and leave for Mt. Manunggal by motorcycles-for-hire at 07:00.
