Murder is murder... there is no grey area and officials who facilitate or encourage these actions should focus their efforts on strengthening the justice system instead of eroding it's foundations.
We are in no position to judge these "murderers," as individuals with no contribution to the improvement of society's condition. I only see two sides here: One side that helps the society, and another that doesn't.

As a person I would be upset. But viewing it in a broader perspective, how does this mishap weigh against the undeniable benefit? This claim isn't even properly-accounted after all.
