Well obviously, that should be the position of Archbishop Palma on this, and i appreciate it.

Yati ra ug dispute ? Kuyawa na gud nimo dong.

You think the church and the faithfuls are condoning to his erring actions ?

Does that make RC " smugglers " because one of its leaders allegedly smuggled ivory ?

Like i said in another thread, this is one reason why Christ is against religion. But that's OT so i'd leave it at that.

On the other hand, it pains me to see droves of 'faithful' still awed by these kind of religious leaders. I wonder how they will defend such behaviour.
You tried with fashion sympathizing the people you love to mock . NINDOT . Unless the " LEADERS " you are talking about was just Msgr Garcia or basin typo lang na.

Like i said in another thread, this is one reason why Christ is against religion. But that's OT so i'd leave it at that
Unless you can tell me that the action of Msgr Garcia reflects how bad ROMAN CATHOLIC are then it is not OT. Stop generalizing , pa OMG OMG pa ka mura ka ug korek like it is something new.

or unless yuo can tell PRESTIGE that get his point of views responsibly shared with taste .

What the hell dude, I can't believe that hypocrites engaged rampant illegal trading of ivories. The allies of the said priest defend that monsignor Garcia's collection of ivory religious images were acquired a long time ago before the law was implemented and elephants were not endangered at that time. Haha, it's a form of blasphemy. Let DENR do the investigation.
We dont know , maybe DENR is ang ally ciguro ni Msgr Garcia .

OT: They cannot be minions if they compromise your belief in God. That would make them the enemy.
Contradicting yourself now ? Are stucked in the notion identifying persons or a person here ? Or another form generalization ?

Let this church then dissociate itself with this embarrassment.
Huh ? Did you even bother read the news article ? Why would the churchdissociate within when the affected was only an erring person thus the investigation ? Regardless of the outcome , what embarassment would it provide ? That ROMAN CATHOLICS are SMUGGLERS ?

Like I said , talk about CHRIS GARCIA and his actions / activities associated with SMUGGLING . The church , faithfuls has nothing to do with the trouble he is facing right now.

@Spring, I agree with you 100%. Msgr Garcia's actions are in no way a reflection of the values of RC and its adherents.

But I also understand @eezychair's reaction. He's criticizing the hierarchy itself, with Msgr Garcia as one of its higher ranking clergyman. Understand that the hierarchy is a fraternity. The unwritten rule is that the name of the institution must be protected at all cost and in all times. That's why cover-ups are usually the norm when it comes to priests/bishops who are involved in some crime (e.g. s-e-x abuse, child molestation/rape, money laundering, ivory smuggling, etc). There's a lot we do not know about what goes on behind the scenes, all the power play that's involved and all the intimidation which flows from the top.

As far as the Vatican is concerned, of utmost importance is the obedience of its flock to its authority and the defense of its reputation at all cost. But if you asked Fr. Tom Doyle (Catholic priest and Canon Law expert), he'll tell you:

"They ought to sell the Vatican to the Mormons or to Disney or something and start all over again."--Fr. Tom Doyle

I would like to point out that that quote didn't come from me.

    @ BEARS GRILL ...

Murag mga mason diay ni sila ? Unless you are exerting that it takes one to know one , then I have to disagree with you on that.

As far as the Vatican is concerned, of utmost importance is the obedience of its flock to its authority and the defense of its reputation at all cost.
This should be understood like the bible , that for us to clearly see its importance, it is referring to the " PROTEST " and not the REPUTATION of the each and individual erring members of the church.

But if you asked Fr. Tom Doyle (Catholic priest and Canon Law expert), he'll tell you:

"They ought to sell the Vatican to the Mormons or to Disney or something and start all over again."--Fr. Tom Doyle
Hey ... you cant blame him if he indeed said that. Afterall , if you look closely to his works , he is the modern day " MARTIN LUTHER ". Targeting Pope Benedict XVI.

OT na man ani hehehe .

As a matter of fact: Elephants are like humans, they crowd over a dead relative and attempt to wake it up. They even cry like humans.
