asus, si eezychair basta GOOD NEWS gani about improving economy sa Pinas under PNoy 'take it with a grain of salt/show other links/proofs' dayon ang linya. pero basta BAD NEWS against people/institutions he doesn't like 'its the truth' dayon.

i'll reserve my comment about that ivory smuggling hangtod i'll hear msgr garcia comments about it. kanang sexual abuse, basta pari gani ang akusahan moingon dayon ta nga guilty. pero is it not possible nga tinood ang sulti ni msgr cris gi extort lang siya? kamong nag too diha nga ang pag pari is purely profession and business, i don't think this is msgr garcia's case. is he not part of the family that used to own VECO?

OT: I don't know whether I should feel flattered you follow my posts when I think you end up with diarrhea reading them. At least now I know there is someone more pathetic than what I feel about this incident and many more that your jaundiced eyes can't see.

OnT: Perhaps you really should reserve your comment like you always do when you can't argue intelligently. This news is all over the mainstream media so it will do you well to go over them and come up with your excuses.

Jack, you have a way with researching, so use it. This thread is not just about the quantity of tusks smuggled in or about politics, but the smuggling which unfortunately exposed an immoral issue about a certain respectable priest now based in Cebu. Chrity's article does not focus on the Philippines alone, but the whole Ivory smuggling issue including other asean nations. It just so happened that a man of cloth who is supposedly respected here turns out to be otherwise in a place he once was assigned to, so expect it to be discussed. If you have something positive to say about him and the incident he is in now, it will be most welcome. But please, don't make this a political issue, because it is not.

Just to add insights NOT from the Philippines, but from Dallas where Garcia once was assigned:

I was reading about these Hare Krishna people back in high school, prompted me to be vegetarian for a while. Nindot sila kay ga practice compassion for all living things. Even before they eat their veggies, they say a prayer for the plant, whose life they're taking away for their sustenance. Great way to live, IMO.

OT: They cannot be minions if they compromise your belief in God. That would make them the enemy.
