Nothing beats darkwing's prices for now. I went to SM to pick up my LEGO kits from him and told him that the Power Armour Lex sold in SM's toy section was priced at P 2,699.75 while his is only P 1,500. These are what I got from him, it's like buying two for the price of one:

@darkwing: That has to wait until tomorrow. I had to finish sanding and washing the bike of the Space Marine Biker so I can airbrush primer on it tomorrow. I also wanted to find out whether the Creator 6913 is really in-scale with minifigures and what do you know, it is

Car enthusiasts: Why is there a wrench hanging outside this old roadster?

The Detective doesn't fit perfectly though as I had to remove the bricks beside his arms. He also can't hold the steering wheel. His using his elbows instead

I will display him in the office for a week then take him home on Thursday so I can assemble configuration 2, the jeep. Hmm, I don't exactly have a figure that is suitable. I should have gotten the female zookeeper.

Default Lego Series 5 Cave Woman Review

Lego Series 5 Cave Woman Review

    Front

    Back

    Design
    - I doubt this is what a real prehistoric female human looked like but it certainly is Flintstones-like
    - The bone serving as a hair accessory helps draw the eyes to her face
    - She also has a scar, a souvenir from her scuffles taming the wild beasts you see behind her

    Paint
    - Very well done paint job
    - The bellybutton is a nice touch. It's just a dot but it proves LEGO's attention to detail
    - And yeah, back then a diamond was still a woman's best friend. Painted on her is a rare black diamond.
    - Her garment is painted on the back too with a slight vertical to show the recess of her back (oh yeah)

    Accessory
    - Besides her headbone (pun for headband in case you didn't get it, he he), she has the iconic club
    - I'm not really sure what these clubs are made of though - rock or wood?

    Fun Factor
    - She's still adjusting to modern life as her pets but I'm sure she'd be fine getting along with the other figures

    Gripe
    - None, surprisingly

    Score: 4.5/5

I don't know. While I'm amazed at how simple gears could make a toy more playable, I don't like the looks of TECHNIC much now that I've seen and touch one for myself. It looks and feels flimsy. There are moments while building it that I thought I was going to break something. I know the likelihood is slim though knowing the level of LEGO's quality.

Another great weekend full of productive hobbies.
