    however, would appreciate it if you can also offer advice on how to boost metabolism. thanks

    try eating small meals every 3-4 hours. the only big meal you have is breakfast which is also the meal with your highest protein intake. small meals can be a sandwich, pasta, or a salad. fruits and protein bars can work in as snacks too.

    Eat 1 cup of rice per meal (3x a day)... and do not eat "in between meals" or snacks.

    Plus cardio exercise.
