i would rather lose my mind than my heart...

coz if you lose your mind, you don't analyze or understand the reasons/causes of your pain. it makes you numb and hence avoid you from getting hurt.

before, i've always told myself to follow your heart for that is where you find happiness... it worked for me for the next few years and then, on one great instant, my heart failed me. so i then decided to go with my mind instead... once again, it was all ok til about a few months ago...

and so, i realize that my answer to this oh-so-cliche question is: it depends. it depends on the time, situation, people involved, matters discussed and reasons and all those other stuff. for there are times when a heart knows best especially when dealing with uncertainties on all the choices laid down and yes, there are also occasions when your mind knows what a heart refuses to see.
