    Rumors:

Coach George Karl is afraid to bench Carmelo Anthony. Revealing that Anthony will be removed from games and shown a seat on the bench if the all-star forward fails to play smart, team basketball. This year he becomes inconsistent since returning from a 15-game suspension...

But the questions is, Can the Nugget afford to bench CARMELO ANTHONY?

might be the effect of the AI trade. both melo and AI are scorers and they're used to be the go to guy. they used to be the primary option most of the time. now that they're both together, it seems both are competing for the role

But the questions is, Can the Nugget afford to bench CARMELO ANTHONY?
theres no way karl would bench melo. even though there's AI, denver is still melo's team. denver would not be denver without melo. nuggets better send him, or AI, somewhere rather than bench him. pau gasol perhaps?

camby, gasol, anthony, jr smith, steve blake or camby, gasol, jr smith, AI, blake..

Kobe Bryant suspended again for hitting Marko Jaric, it's good that the NBA officials are finally seeing how dirty Kobe plays and doing something about it.

    miami 103, chicago 70
    shaq--24 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists
miami finaly avenged their 108-66 ring ceremony loss to the bulls in opening night and avoided a season sweep from the bulls. miami are now 5-2 since wade's injury

    @lunateec: hawks 100, wizards 97
proabably a double kill. i personally dislike agent 0... it was really an upset considering that the hawks played without joe johnson, speedy claxton and marvin williams and the ailing josh smith. big game by zaza pachulia though (27 points and 12 rebounds)

raptors, sixers and rockets are on a roll
    lakers are struggling without kobe

Another Hawks starter, forward Josh Smith, was benched for 17 consecutive minutes spanning the second and third periods following a verbal exchange with Anthony Johnson. Smith was asking for the ball, and Johnson instead called for Smith to set a screen.

"Coach's decision,'' Smith said when asked why he was benched.

"We saw things differently on that play,'' Johnson said.

    What the hell is this?

Smith scored 13 points in 27 minutes and appeared to have moved past the dispute with Anthony Johnson, giving the veteran a high-five late in the game and compliments after the game.

"You have to pull together and that's what we did,'' Smith said, adding "Anthony Johnson stepped up.''

Good thing daug sila, kung napilde pa, mag-away cguro ni sila ni JSmith ug AJ.

The Wizards are complete out there, with Arenas, Butler and Jamison. Hehehe... Grabeh Pachulia oi. I didn't know he's actually 23 years old, he looks older to me. Good thing these guys stepped up and gave the Wizards a beating.

Joe Johnson is out 3-4 weeks and done for the season. Hahay... Mau unta ug maka 26 wins sila karon pareha last year, at least. Im praying na makuha nila ang #3 pick to get another raw talent.

My pipedream for the Hawks is to get: Spencer Hawes and Chauncey Billups!!! Yey!!!

Ngek... given the status of both teams, it's not surprising that the Rockets destroyed the Celtics. The game for the day is Miami crushing the Chicago Bulls.

bulls avenged their embarassing loss to miami, and what the heck happened to dwight howard and the magic? they've gone downhill after a very impressive start.

    san antonio 100, sacramento 93
spurs wins 11th straight. manu's the man again. ginobili finished with 31 points, 16 in the fourth quarter, to finish of the kings who came to the game winning 4 straight

dallas mavericks could crack into the 70-win column. compared to the 72-10 1995-96 bulls, in a 60 game span, the mavs are now 51-9 and the bulls are 54-6. if the mavs could sweep off all their remaining games, they would end up 73-9. the first single-digit loss in the nba history and breaking the bulls' 72-10. plus they would rewrite record books for most consecutive wins in a season with 38. the mavs are almost halfway to that feat.

roadblocks for dallas in their remaining 22 games:

phoenix suns (march 14 and april 1)
    detroit pistons (march 1
    cleveland cavaliers (march 21)
    san antonio spurs (march 15)

phoenix has yet to win a game this season against the mavs and san antonio on the other hand are on a roll of their own. going for 38 straight would be a tough task for the mavs, but at least they've got a greater chance of ending up at 70. i'd say mavs ending up at 69-13 or 70-12 this season.

based on the current standings, here's an early look at the playoffs..

    East
[1] detroit vs [8] orlando--with their lack of experience and their current skid, orlando might end up blown up by the pistons. pistons in 4
[2] washingtonvs [7] indiana--not unless JO and company could find ways to stop agent 0, indiana is heading for early vacation. washington in 5
[3] toronto vs [6] miami--old-school shaq eating up chris bosh in the paint. but its the perfect stage for bosh to prove his worth, the playoffs vs shaq. if wade returns to the line-up, it might be an eastern conference upset. miami in 6
[4] cleveland vs [5] chicago--king james is more mature than he was before and a lot better than last season. a cleveland victory would set a stage for a rematch against the pistons. with the inconsistency the bulls are showing right now, cleveland will be heading to the next round. cleveland in 6

    West
[1] dallas vs [8] los angeles clippers--clips are not making much noise than last season and they will be facing a 70-win capable team in the first round. MVP vs workhorse (dirk vs brand). dallas in 4
[2] phoenix vs [7] denver--a high octane match night in and night out. not unless george karl, AI and melo could create the right chemistry, phoenix would just easily sail though the next round. phoenix in 5
[3] utah vs [6] los angeles lakers--probably the western conference upset if kobe and the lakers would bring up the same intensity they brought up against the suns last season. but as long as utah could continue their stellar play, it would be a first playoff win without karl malone and john stockton. lakers in 7
[4] san antonio vs [5] houston--game 7 heartbreak to dallas last season is something the spurs would avenge this season. with their core championship group still intact and their experience, spurs might be set for another date with dallas in the second round. t-mac's explosive game + yao and mutombo could be a tough test for the spurs. spurs in 7
