TIPS using Silk Creation for your dog's hair

Hot Tip using Silk Creation for long hair breed by Eric Lezarda of Yeryk Shih Tzu
For Shih tzu, Lhasa Apso, Maltese, Yorkie, Havenese and all long hair breed

1. You can use 2 variant of shampoo of Silk Creation, the Extra Light Brightening Double Clearing Shampoo and the Silken Clarifying Cream Shampoo. For example, if your dogs are taking a bath 2 twice a week, you can alternate the use of the Extra Light Brightening DoubleClearing Shampoo and the Silken Clarifying Cream Shampoo. (Silken Clarifying Cream Shampoo has multi vitamins and much more moisturizers that make the hair super soft and feeling shine and the Extra Light Brightening Double Clearing Shampoo helps to make the hair very clean and helps to prevent stains.

Note: you may also want to use the Silken Clarifying Shampoo for maintenance if you already achieved a very nice and not dry hair.

2. For the conditioner, you can use the Super Concentrated Moisturizing Conditioner; this conditioner makes the hair super soft, not sticky and not oily. If the hair is very dry you can mix hot oil.

a. Mix 1 tbsp of hot oil and 3 tbsp of Super Concentrated Moisturizing Conditioner.

b. Dilute the mixture to 1 cup of water, then shake or you can use the blender so that it is evenly mix.c. Apply after you rinse the shampoo then wait for 5 minutes before rinsing off the conditioner.

Note: you may also want to use the Silk Stocking Protein Conditioner for maintenance if you already achieved a very nice and not dry hair.

3. Dilute Sleek & Shine Leave on Conditioning Cream with water (1:20 ratio, 1 part of Sleek & Shine Leave on Conditioning Cream to 20 parts of water). Massage all over the hair of your dog, no need to rinse, just towel dry the hair.

4. Drop a little bit Silk Innovation Liquid Vitamin E Serum on your hand then massage all over the hair.

5. Blow-dry the hair. You will notice that you achieved a soft, silky and tangle-free hair.

6. Every time you brush your dog, you need to mist it using the conditioning spray. You may use the Silk Smooth Leave in Conditioning Spray or the Silk Smooth Leave in Conditioning Spray plus Collagen. It is recommended to use Silk Smooth Leave in Conditioning Spray plus Collagen because it really works well if you want to achieve smooth and not sticky and not oily hair and it can helps to remove the tangle very easy. For Maltese, Shih tzu and Yorkie you can spray Silk Smooth Leave in Conditioning Spray Plus Collagen before ironing.

7. If the length of the hair of your dog is almost floor length, you need to wrap it so that you can protect the hair from breakage. You can use the Magic Cream Formula. Put a little bit on you palm and apply it directly to the hair that you want to wrap. It can also help to restore dry hair.

8. You can also apply Silk Innovation Liquid Vitamin E Serum on the hair a little bit before you start brushing the hair. It makes shine and it is good for the hair because it has a multi vitamins and Vitamin E. You can also apply a little bit on the hair during the show.

Hot Tip using Silk Creation for maintaining a Poodle by Eric Lezarda of Yeryk Shih Tzu

Reminders: You can use less oil for Poodle; too much oil is not good as maintenance with poodle. You can use a mixture of 1 part of Extra Light Brightening Double Clearing Shampoo and 5 parts of water (1:5 is preferred but you can use more water if you want) for all Poodles of all colors: black, white, brown or silver. You may take a bath with you White and Silver poodle every 3 days while the other colors may take a bath every week.



Here are the procedures:


Daily Maintenance

1. Wet the hair and wash it 3 to 4 times using the mixture (1:5 ratio) until you can feel the hair is already clean.

2. Mix Super Concentrated Moisturizing Conditioner with water (1:15 ratio, 1 part of products to 15 parts of water) and massage it all over the body and wait for 5-10 minutes before rinsing off. Recommended for Poodles, you need to totally rinse off the conditioner.

3. Mix Sleek & Shine Leave-On Conditioning Cream with water (1:20 ratio, 1 part of the product to 20 parts of water, if still sticky you can use up to 1:25 ratio). Apply all over the body and massage. Do not rinse, just towel dry. (Note: for Standard Poodle have to mix around 1:20 ratio, but for toy poodle you may use until 1:25 ratio).

4. Apply a little of Silk Innovation Liquid Vitamin E Serum at the end of the hair before you blow dry the hair.

5. Wrap the hair in the ear part and the hair on the neck part using the Magic Cream or Silk Innovation Liquid Vitamin E Serum (if wrapping using the Silk Innovation Liquid Vitamin E Serum you may use more drops of the Serum on your hands and apply it to the hair before wrapping)

6. You need to open the wrap every 2 days and brush the hair using the Silk Smooth Leave in Conditioning Spray plus Collagen, the repeat step #5.

7. Every time you brush the hair, please don’t forget to mist the hair with Silk Smooth Leave in Conditioning Spray plus Collagen before brushing.


Show Maintenance

1. Mix Extra Light Brightening Double Clearing Shampoo with water (1:5 ratio) or you may use pure Extra Light Brightening Double Clearing Shampoo up to 4 times. Don’t worry it is still safe on the hair ever if you use pure Extra Light Brightening Double Clearing Shampoo. Rinse off.

2. Mix Super Concentrated Moisturizing Conditioner with water (1:20 ratio for Standard Poodle or mini poodle and 1:30 for toy poodle. Wait until 10 minutes, then rinse off.

3. Mix Sleek & Shine Leave-On Conditioning Cream with water (1:25 for standard and mini poodle and for toy poodle use 1:30), no need to rinse, just towel dry after the application. (Note: Sleek & Shine Leave-On Conditioning Cream helps the hair of the poodle to be fluffy).

4. Apply a little bit of Silk Innovation Liquid Vitamin E Serum on long hair part of the poodle and a bit more Silk Innovation Liquid Vitamin E Serum on the ear part, then blow dry.

5. On the show itself, you need to prepare the ear part by wrapping it with a little bit is Silk Innovation Liquid Vitamin E Serum.

Note: For grooming a day before the show, you may mix:


1 teaspoon of Sleek & Shine Leave-On Conditioning Cream, 1 tablespoon of Silk Smooth Leave in Conditioning Spray plus Collagen2 cups of water

Spray on the part that you will cut and brush as you desired so that hair will stand-well before cutting.
