We should be asking, "where does the buck stop?" Kinsay gasugo ni Trillanes? If what Trillanes did was treacherous, what do we call the move done by the one who gave the marching orders?

Trillanes' shot to fame was a failed mutiny, which was treachery at its highest. Do we trust our foreign affairs issues with one who has this background?

For the record, I also find Enrile's tirade as an act of defense and was diversionary. But if these politicians have to kill themselves over such things, perhaps it will do the country better than having them around.

I was surprised that this guy bid for Senate - and won ! You're actually right , in the US , a convicted person of treason shall suffer death . This guy tried to overthrow the Fifth Republic - therefore an enemy of the state regardless whoever administration leading the country at the time . Thank god , I'm no longer living in the Philippines so I don't have to suffer headache because of the incompetence by the government officials . Oh well , it already happened but this is a clear image that justice there still has a long way to go .

In fairness for Trillanes , if he was REALLY authorized to meet with Chinese gov't then that should be it . Enrile is also adding fuel to the fire on the sensitive Philippines-China relations by reading Brady's note . "Backdoor negotiation" is not new in gov't and corporate offices . The only bad thing about this is that kung kinsa'y wala'y labot will in no way part of the action - maka suya jud . Gusto pud tingale unta magpa porma si Enrile at the time but the President chose Trillanes (a neophyte in politics) .
