just saw "The Skin I Live In".. man! that was a great movie (for me )..

didn't expect Vicente would end up that way.. nyehehehe..

Ah, that's Pedro Almodovar the master filmmaker at work. He usually deals with a lot of characters in interweaving, criss-crossing plotlines but with "The Skin I Live In" there are only a handful of major characters and yet he decided to present the story in an interweaving fashion, jumping from one character to another, skipping one time period to another and going back, and so on. The result is a fascinating well-told tale. Another departure is how he forgoes bold and striking colors for subdued ones like light blue, soft maroon, white, light green. To me, it's like saying he doesn't need those because his characters are already colorful and they stand out on their own.

lol... ang duha ka movies, the portuguese and the mexican with gael were based from the same book. Pero ang portuguese (released in 2005) is a modern adaptation pero nag una paman ang mexican, released in 2002.

weird thing, that's the next on my list (Volver).. what a coaccident! LOL!
