Libya - Abstaining is not the same as veto. No vote... no voice. Gaddafi was clearly insane, even the gruesome twosome of China & Russia could recognize that. The no-fly zone was legal.... and effective.

Syria - Russia very obviously supports the Syrian regime because of the strategic importance of their naval base. China is blocking action because they are birds of a feather... Tienanmen Square??

1) LIBYA: They abstained to paved way to the Western sponsored resolution.

What the West did they go beyond the NO FLYZONE by becoming a direct CLOSE AIR SUPPORT for the rebels (supposedly to protect civilians only) and armed the jihadist / al-qaeda rebels which violates the arms embargo of the UN resolution.

So the West never really care about protecting peaceful civilians thats being crushed by the Govt if they did so they already attacked Saudi Arabia, Bahrain & Yemen. See my point? in case you didnt know that there is an uprising in these countries that are not being showed by the mainstream media.

Its a very small floating dock for refuel & repair. There is no warship being permanently deploy in that area. Its a naval facility not a naval base.
