Crossing Floods
- Halt for a moment before plunging your bike/car into the flood. Assess the depth of the water. Look for shallow path to use upon crossing. Ask residents/motorist for possible open-holes/pot-holes.
- If possible, find another route. Bahala'g layo basta muabot.
- If you decide to cross the flood, be more cautious. Drive slowly with the lowest gear position. Play with the clutch, not with the gas. (IMO) Watch out for incoming traffic.
- If you fail to cross it, guide your bike/car to a higher ground. Wipe dry the sparkplug or replace it with a dry one. Change the engine oil as soon as possible.
