Data entry jobs pay lesser than other specialized skills, and to be brutally honest....there are thousands of you nga ga lumba sa usa ka data entry posting. Just look at the number of respondents per client posting. Diba not less than 50 mo.

I suggest bro, since you have a lot of time in your hands learn new skills. Photoshop, wordpress, excel, writing/blogging, social media marketing, etc....

Be a one stop shop ika nga for your skills, rather than be focusing on one skill set alone. the world is very competitive, and that includes the world of odesk.

After being interviewed, this Australian interviewer who was also the owner of the company, wanted me to work for them exclusively for a higher starting rate compared to my present odesk job. The thing is, I am already comfortable with my present job. My fear is If I will accept the offer I might just regret my decision later. I want to keep my present job but at the same time I want to take advantage of the opportunity which will mean I have to choose between the two. FYI: this Australian company has a payment method verified in oDesk but they pay directly to paypal because as they have said my pay will not be deducted for tax in this method. If you are in my shoes, what will you choose? Why?
If batan-on paka nya wala pa kaayo responsibility, you can come out of your comfort zone and take some risks. Just be sure to make a contingency plan if things would come to worse. If naa nka family or gi-buhi, then you should stick to something you consider that is stable. Case by case basis cya bro, depende sa imu kahimtang ug outlook in life.
