After being interviewed, this Australian interviewer who was also the owner of the company, wanted me to work for them exclusively for a higher starting rate compared to my present odesk job. The thing is, I am already comfortable with my present job. My fear is If I will accept the offer I might just regret my decision later. I want to keep my present job but at the same time I want to take advantage of the opportunity which will mean I have to choose between the two. FYI: this Australian company has a payment method verified in oDesk but they pay directly to paypal because as they have said my pay will not be deducted for tax in this method. If you are in my shoes, what will you choose? Why?

    > I suggest you negotiate with the Australian company for a non-exclusive contract at a lower rate. That way, you can work for both, more $$$ for you.

if you can have them both the better, time management lang bro... kung may time na magcoconflict yung sched, negotiate lang sa client for a better schedule... may we know your present work? (type of skills, hourly or fixed?)

That is what exactly I am telling to the Australian that I can work for both but they said the risk is so high that they will not even consider me for the post. So I ask them for a few days to weigh my options well before deciding. I am presently working as a Bookkeeper for a Property Management Company.

Try to ask them if they can hire you for a week as a trial and prove them that you can do it to minimize the risk.

I do not understand why this new employer would consider your situation as a high risk. They are already employing outsourced workers to work for them. As I see it, they just want to take advantage of your skills. If they really want you that bad, that Australian company can meet you halfway.

As what they have told me, based from their previous experience, letting someone work for them with other job from another employer will make the quality of output suffer.

This will not work because they intend to increase my load with the passage of time.

well, that is just assuming that you wont be able to deliver things for them. Babyjames is right, a trial phase would be win win situation for both.
