actually, i have number of domains na including the one i offered for a WordPress Group here (wordcampcebu.org). i also host my own websites and offer FREE and cheap paid shared hosting.

not actually a mirror site bro. it's just a mere copy of the live site for development and backup purposes.

thanks for all the replies. ang .htaccess ra ang culprit. i can't somehow understand why the default .htaccess generate by WordPress is just this one:



What i did was enable (should be CHECKED) rewrite_module in Apache in my local WAMP server. After this I was able to change to my favorite permalink and every link is displaying as it should be.

By default naka off ang url rewrite slkmclaren. Good to know na sulbad ra nimo.

lagi naka-turn OFF by default. even though i found out nga sa .htaccess ang problem you still have to dig deeper kay one thing always leads to another. just like this one.

afaik kanang mo take over nga site when its down we call it live backup server site similar to mirror others call it clone, but a mirror are usually used as way to developed a site using the same settings the live server have, normally mirror website are hosted locally... other terms for mirror is live testing server...

well thats the usual term we used when im still admin sa usa ka webhosting... coz we offer it sa amo client sauna...
