Thread: Stealing Photos

  1. #1

    Default Stealing Photos

Photography has reached it's saturation point here in Cebu long long time ago. And when I say that, what I'm trying to say is that photography has become a norm. But what newbies do not understand is the value of a photo taken by a photographer. You just don't use someone else' photograph just like that to promote your own business without paying them or at least asking their permission. That's annoying and disrespectful.

In this website, I found my photo HappyCebu.com - Version a.1 | Not Just Another Cebu Website (the woman in a fedora hat) and was surprised how it got their. It's funny how people do it just like that I pity them all.

Agree with TS but my spidey senses tell me putting your pictures online is more of like a public property already otherwise, keep it private

There has to be regulator for copyright infringement on the net that this case can be reported to.

basin mkatabang ni nmo: na publish namn imong photo WITHOUT your permission.

para nko i think #2 Option is appropriate sa imng case bro. try to read those options and see kng unsa imong mahimo. kng google or Yahoo cgro ni-infringed sa imong image (which is highly unlikely) you have a M$ case. pero kng sari-sari store ra i think as what i said Option 2 is for you. goodluck.

Im not a photographer pero I can understand how you feel.. I mean, pictures are like properties for people like you.. (great shot by the way! thumbs up!).. I think naa pud point ang uban dri.. Filing a case against a "sari-sari store" is really not worth it.. either request to have the photo removed or ask credit for it.. Life in the digital world can sometimes be unfair..some people just dont understand the meaning of respect.. abi man kai you posted the pic, then they would take it as "public-property".. tsk tsk tsk.. ok ra na TS.. i was thinking.. how about placing a signature on the photo.. pero di ghapon.. i.crop ra ghapon na noh? hahaha
