on these recent developments (not really recent because this has long been obvious), philippines might want to sever ANY ties on ANY countries in an effort to save one's self as we're within a "push-of-a-button" distance....

I agree, about Russia being a threat. Russia will always be a threat to the US. Maong superpower jud ning Russia because of that "threat" that it poses to the world. We all know what it can do. What I meant was, will Russia act on it? Not in the forseeable future, I think. Russia is a "real" communist country. Iran and NoKor are not...they are countries terribly run by despots who are letting their passion/hatred overrule their logic. Russia does not operate that way. Even Putin, he knows to keep in line or the Politburo will simply dispose of him. Russia is very logical on how they deal with the west, re USA. They don't trust the US, of course, as evidenced by the discovery of Russian spies living amongst the Americans in the suburbs a few years ago. But they know that whatever they do, the US is capable of retaliating with stronger force...and what purpose does it serve to conquer your enemy if you kill yourself in the process? That's the only logical way to look at this whole thing. Russia has shown that it does not care for despots when they stopped Hitler on the eastern front, di ba? Russia is nothing if not cold, calculating...and deadly. I never thought I'd say this, but it kinda comforts me that Russia is around if (or when?) that North Korean with the bad haircut decides to do something grand and crazy. The crazy bad guys always die first. The cold, calculating, deadly, brutal, completely-devoid-of-emotion bad guys...they tend to stick around longer. Russia has been at this game for a loooooonnnggg time. The other bad guys should look at Russia to learn how it's really done.

I do agree with you at some point, but Russia now cannot risk an alliance with anyone aside from the proposed Eurasian alliance with China. Their military efforts at this time are focussed on neocolonial attempts to influence states like Armenia and Kazakhstan. But still we cannot trust them.

But who knows, nobody knows until this "United Eurasia" is created!

Neither Iran or North Korea won't have anything to do with the Philippines, both countries do not have well equipped Navies and ICBMs to fight Naval battles on our Islands against the US, even if they have any of these it would be too unstrategic and costly for them.

Even if we do stage our alliance with the US and being defeated in the war, I highly doubt that we will be the first nation they will attack. As Nokor's first agenda is the Unification of the Korean Peninsula, Iran's objective is the total destruction of Israel and the control of the Persian gulf countries.

Iran is not a radical country its Saudi Arabia (Wahabbis). Its because Iran opposed the West, they demonized Iran through mainstream media.
