We have been talking more about the candidates for Mayor in Mandaue why not talk about the candidates for Vice-Mayor.

Glen Bercede VM for Jonas Cortes

Carlo Fortuna VM for Jonkie Ouano

Who is the better candidate?

Who will you vote and why?

Katong nasunog ang Saint Joseph's Academy sa Mandaue, together with the Public Market and a portion of the Saint Joseph Parish Church, I was one of the first 4 people who were there. We had no time to call for the fire dept kay halos maabtan sad mi sa kayo. We were trying to save as much things as we can from the offices of the school, computers and other electronic devices. One was my uncle who works for the school as a maintainance personnel, the other guy was my cousin. The other guy, who was drenched with sweat and water and covered with soot is no other than Carlo Fortuna. Dugay kaau ko nakaila niya and cge mi inalsahay sa mga butang trying to put out fire sa mga rooms pero wala gyud mi nagkaila. All i know at that time is he is a rich guy who just happened to pass by the school and saw us and the fire. naka kurbata pa tawn si carlo.

dha rami nagkaila pagkahuman, nanglingkod mi sa kilid usa ka room. kapoy and singot. giduol sya sa usa ka fireman. Funny pa gyud kaau kay before ana nag kupot sya sa garden hose while nagpatay sa kayo sa among agian, unya kaihion man sya, nitalikod nalang sya while nag point sa kayo sa tubig.

and this is not the only time that i saw carlo in action. masunog man or unsa. there are other instances as well. even though dili ko kabotar sa mandaue this year, i will endorse him to my brothers and sisters, friends and relatives.

ang ako lang kay nganong nag padala pud cya kang Teddy.. diha nawala akong bilib niya... madala ra man diay gihapon..

better cguro og cyay nilansar og mayor then si Jonkie gi pa councilor usa na.....he stand a bigger chance against Cortes...

Cortes and Bercede did the same, jumping from one ship to the other. They all came from one Party. Carlo didn't jump ship right now because it is not the right time.

This is Politics, what do you expect?

Politics is like a chess game. Maybe Jonkie is the pawn.

If performance will be a basis for winning vice mayor, Carlo has an edge over Bercede. Carlo is the current President of the Councilors League of the Philippines. If other councilors in the Philippines believe in his capability then why should we Mandauehanons think twice in voting for him.

now from being a possible government board member to becoming a city vice mayor , og dili slide back ang term nimo ana..then ambot ..but he accepted the one with lesser responsibility.....
I am giving my analysis for the scenario.. try to imagine if Carlo proceeded with his board membership candidacy..do you really think Jonkie stand a fighting chance against Jonas....Look at the Ouano's , they cant even resolve their family conflict, Mandaue pa kaha...

try to read some threads here sa Istorya and pinpoint me Ouano's accomplishment ...ang mga Istoryans ing ani permi ang smiley
ang try to look at other thread where Jonkie is pitted against Jonas .. (pangitaa na lang ang usa ni Jonkie dba wala)

Now, If Carlo ran for a mayor kay maayo man gyud cya and since Jonkie claims they have 15 barangays and Jonas says he has solid 12, og bahinon na ang 15 plus molansar pa jud si Joy Ouano... do your math...

so in conclusion, this is just Teddy's strategy and Im saddened that he agreed.....

(last election Jonas and Glenn finished 1 and 2 for city council, carlo i think is 4 .. and lastly Bercede is leading Fortuna in the poll you created in this thread)

If Cortes and Bercede knew that Teddy Ouano was not a good leader then why did they join his part last elections? I think you call it Opportunism...Sometimes that is the reality of politics.

Maybe Carlo respected the Lakas Party's decision. Maybe he realized that it wasn't time for him to run for Mayor, Congressman or Board Member since Mandaue Elections now are such in a mess. I think Weng Gakit & Maambong will run for Board Member instead.

Bercede and Carlo are both good in their field but I still believe Carlo has better performance, attitude and qualification compared to Bercede.

Last elections, haven't you noticed that some or most of the Power Team sample ballots, Carlo's name was erased. (Just for thought)

Im not for Jonkie Ouano or any Ouano for that matter.

Better go with Cortes than Ouano.

it might be Opportunism.. dont you think Ouano offerd them a slate para makuha pud nila ang boto nilang Glenn og Jonas, ..its a two way process.. Take the case of Lapu lapu.. Radaza before cannot beat Weigel alone so he has to join forces with Patalinghug para mapildi si Weigel...para ilang supporters mag usa..
Now Glenn and Jonas think they made up huge fan base thats why theyre confident they dont need any Ouano just to win a seat...and maybe..theyre just SICK and TIRED of what Mandaue is right now... awa nang Recle, wala kaayoy nag invest, puro mga surplus shop nang naa dha...ang likod sa CICC pwerteng bahua...samot sa sports complex...karon ang SRP ni Tomas, sold out na na anytime..ever notice why investors are hesitant...

have you recently read the news of harassment sa Ouano camp karon sa Cortes supporters... how bout Ouano cutting the council's salary, isnt it harassment og nag overpay ang Department of Budget, nganong karon ra man na gi cut??

How bout ipatangtang ni Teddy ang campaign materials..unya ang nawng ni Jonkie sa Natures Spring naa pa sa mga eskina (kay ang rason wa pa daw nlansar, aint it a form of advance campaign? ) ..ka klaro ana....

Angel Mikael , I dont disagree na maayo si Carlo...of course he is, but as I said... I would rather vote for Glenn to be Jonas pair since he is Jonas preferred wingman...
