Sereno is now the new chief justice. She has 18 years ahead. People will be watching her very, very closely. I wish her the best. Congratulations too, Jack. I believe she was your choice too.

I hope ang 'sila-sila' ra wouldn't happen with this new SC. The law may be harsh as you saw it, but it is the law which we have to abide with, and that ends the argument - if you are for the rule of law.

the clause prohibiting midnight appointees are specifically written on one section (executive), and not on the judicial. I like how politicians consider parts of the constitution to be self-executing while other parts like the law prohibiting political dynasties to be "not self-executing".

Why ? You can't appeal a decision by the Supreme Court because they're the final adjudicator . If they managed to overturned a decision especially the HL case , then people should question Aquino's philosophy called "daang matuwid" .

The SC's rulings can be reversed. just like how they overturned the ruling on the Mining Act of 1995.
