mao ni nkanindut sa Istorya, daghan ta makat-unan

since medyo lisud ang availability sa 660 ti here in Cebu, we are looking closely at ASUS 7850, since available cya locally at 12600.

total price is 44665, perfect kaau for our allocated budget.

Nvidia Cards good for rendering coz of its CUDA cores

Radeon Cards good for Photoshop (adobe) for its OpenCL support

    just my two cents

and by the way i also do renderings, pero wat matters me most are the procie+rams+gpu

kay sa vray man gud has 2 rendering engines, one using the cpu power, two using its gpu power, sa ako ra nang experience ha, correct me if i am wrong.

pero if pang workstation (firepro and quadro) na gpu, aw hands up na ko ana.

    payr!

New 3D modeling PC?! - CGPersia Forums
Newsgroup: rhino, Thread: Re: Best Video Card for a Rhino3D rig?

the pros are USING NVIDIA with CUDA for GPU based rendering, and it will stay until such time AMD OPEN CL standard matures

aND ADOBE Photoshop CS4 and CS5 are CUDA friendly,

it's just recently that Adobe adapts Open CL on it CS6 SUITE. < good marketing strategy

: ^ based on experience pud..

    adobe user here..from GTs250 with CUDA on my CS5 , now 2GB HD7770 on Adobe CS6

tingala ko lagi puro i7 ang gi recomend
although okay ra na sya i-render pero mas hari ning i7 sa gaming compared sa rendering.

    para nako get ..

Procie: intel xeon x5650 or higher
RAM: any high end rams especially katong mga 1T Command Rate.kung makaya 12GB(@triple channel) go
VC: don't get the gaming graphics card get the quadro FX series.
MOBO: bisan unsa na board basta compatible socket sa procie, no need mahalon na mobo
    CASE: pede ra walay case!
    PSU: any reputable brand
    Monitor: bisan unsa

i doubt sa procie ug ram lang daan masigo ba kaha ang 40k, professional renderer ka TS? kung dili pag i7 nlng

^^ ahhmmm, medyo bali bro, hehehe...

most games are not that multi-threaded so i7 is not really needed whereas ang rendering, more cores/threads the better. ang gi apas raman namo sa i7 kay naay hyperthreading which logically doubles the threads making it appear like an 8-core CPU.

as for RAM, no need for high end RAM. what's really important is the RAM size and not much on what's under the hood of the RAM.

as for the video card, no need for quadro kay pang workstation/professional graphics application ma na... i checked the software that TS is going to be using, ang usa dili supported ang quadro (i think ang matrix toh). so stick to the gaming video card siya dapat.
