murag nindot ning odesk dah since fresh graduate ko nya ala ko work...can somebody enlighten me and tell me how it works kng pwede s through chat ym or fb b run...cuz nid jud nku work...kapoy au tambay dri blay..T_T

Aside from Odesk, there are plenty of platforms that you can use to earn as a freelancer. I have done this so I can get as much exposure with my profiles, gladly...I've been getting projects from all of them. But ang bread and butter gyud nako is Odesk. I also started with low rates even accepting articles at $3. But slowly I managed to get good feedback scores. I also made sure to complete my Odesk profile and answered as much tests as possible, right now I have 10 tests under the top 10% to 20%. So Istoryans, aim to get high test scores sad, kay that is one of the primary basis for a client to gauge your skills and knowledge. Have a good presentable portfolio as well....

So far now, I am a full time freelancer and and humbly speaking I get around 35k to 50k a month (for 8 hours of daily work) with at least 3 to 5 projects a month. So those who are really interested to take odesk seriously then....by all means TAKE IT SERIOUSLY!!! That includes paying attention to the cover letters you send out (not just generic ones), being available on interviews, and the best script I use for all my clients..................."Yes I can do it!" and then bahala na mag nosebleed on the back end basta I make sure I deliver my work to them. So far I've been blessed.

And ohhh....investing in a stable internet connection, a good PC/Laptop and if possible answering your emails, skype messages and learning new applications also helps BIG TIME! So good luck to you guys and hopefully you will be part of those people who will share their success stories!

try to browse sa open jobs there in elance, freelancer or odesk part. naa ubang company nag scout rana sila sa freelancing platforms pero pwde ka nila e direct hire sa ila company. depende rana mka timing ka. ako naka timing ko sa freelancer before then na hired ko direct for 1 year contract. dont give up apply and apply until you...

When it comes to honest employers, it is still the same as odesk. You need to look at red flags primarily those who do not have a "verified payment method" beware ka ana nila. Also look at employers/clients and websites that offer escrow services. unfortunately, wala ani ang odesk, escrow services provides both client and employer to dispute any upaid services so as services nga wala na render sa freelancer.

wow ill take note of this, I always wonder why naay mga profile na almost blank ang mga profiles pero dagko kaau ang makuha sa odesk... naa na koy 4 ka work pero gamay lang kaau ang mga bayad.. I always wanted to work with high paid jobs pero madismaya ko sa mga experiences sa uban .. so far nice ang mga feedback..

Depende sa imong gi applyan bro, naa may projects that are not suited for hourly arrangements like graphics, writing, etc.... On your cover letter, you can also propose an hourly agreement and just be honest that your purpose for asking is you want to build your odesk hours.
